SH8X450 SH Series Stage Box Snake is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what we needed!! I am a youth pastor and we recently starting having a need for more and more sound equipment due to a growing band. This meant running individual cords from the sound booth to the stage. Needless to say that didn't last long! This snake has been everything we needed (and more)! There are plenty of XLR inputs, the 1/4 plugs are TRS balanced, so this was exactly what we were looking for! Not to mention the B&H price was far below what others were charging. As of now I cannot think of a single dislike that I have for this snake!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great snake at an affordable price I am currently using this in a small home studio setup. We have one room as the control room and run the snake into the other room for our main inputs. Its a very low price, doesn't seem to have any terribly dramatic effects on the sound, we still got the 18k ringing from the hi-hat coming through loud and clear, as well as the bottom end from the kick. The quality is good enough for my setup, but I might have reservations using this in a regularly gigging band. I would worry about it holding up to that sort of heavy use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I had purchased this stage box for the church I attend for events outside of the church and enjoyed using it with its solid construction and easy to read id markings on the fan tail so I wenrt with the same product when I needed a mic snake for my personal use. Yes I would recommend this product to a friend

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Made the production so much easier I used the snake on a production last weekend, and it was so much easier to set up and tear down the equipment compared to running cables for each feed. The box is solid and can take some beating. Looking forwared to using on other productions in the near future.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Like this snake I do sound for a weekly open mike. Recently we changed our venue and had to change the sound system to match. This snake fit the bill in terms of channels, length and weight. There are some nice to haves missing - locking female XLR connectors is the big one - but in this price range that's understandable. The one issue I had was trying to use the returns to feed a self pwered monitor. Very, very noisy. So noisy that I had to run a separate line for the monitor feed. However, feeding a keyboard's sound module through the same TRS connector caused no problems. More investigation is obviously needed. The stage box is certainly robust enough, the cable jacke and connectors seeme reasonably tough and the strain relief is more than adequate. The rat tails are broken out into groups using plastic wire ties and the connectors are of good quality. In conclusion, for a light duty use like mine, this snake gets the job done. I'd feel a little hesitant about relying on it for a traveling show, but it works fine for my purposes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cheap and good We use it a snake that is always at the same place, it never moves. In that state, ZERO problems. Great snake.
