The Miller DS-10 DV Fluid Head and Solo Aluminum Tripod with Pan Handle and Bag is a complete tripod system that supports up to 11 pounds of cameras and accessories. The fluid head features a 75mm half ball for quick leveling, two counterbalance settings, fluid pan and tilt drag, and a sliding camera balance plate. The head tilts from straight down to 75° tilting upwards, and 360° continuous panning with individual pan and tilt locks. An included articulating pan handle allows you to adjust your grip for the most effective operation.

The Solo 75 legs are made from magnesium alloy, providing a beneficial balance between strength, durability, and weight. It features a 75mm bowl for leveling, and integrated twist-locks for height adjustment. Combined with the three preset locking positions, the legs feature a height range adjustment of 9 to 64" (not including the height of the head). The included soft-sided carry case features padded carrying handles and allows you to store your head, handle, and legs for storage or transport.

Miller DS10 reviews

DS-10 DV Fluid Head and Solo Aluminum Tripod with Pan Handle and Bag is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent tripod The DS-10 is light, the head action very smooth, the tripod is quick to set up and tear down. Let the legs out gently, though. One of the coolest things about the DS-10 is how low it goes: there's just enough clearance so the leveling handle isn't on the ground. In that configuration, it looks like a three-legged spider. So you can easily get extremely low shots on a fluid head, and the rubber feet let you stick it in the middle of a long, expensive board room table without leaving a mark. Lack of a spreader makes them hard to sandbag, which is where lightness can cause trouble. We've rented DS-20's as well. Bigger, heavier, not quite as flexible but able to handle larger loads.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent Tripod The fluid head on this tripod is its best feature. Smooth pans and tilts are no problem. The legs are lightweight and capable of a broad range of positions. Caution--exercise care when extending the legs from their retracted position. If you let the legs drop down to their extended position instead of controlling them gently as they slide out, the internal bushings will crack, and the leg locks will lose their grip. This trade-off in rugged strength allows for a more lightweight system. If you treat the tripod with care, you shouldn't have any trouble.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Miller DS-10 Shines The DS-10 is absolutely smooth. The panning is incredible for the light weight a DSLR provides. I have a rig that varies between about 8 and 12 lbs and the DS-10 balances it quickly perfectly. The fact that is raises up above my head is really nice too. I mount my SmallHD AC7 to the leg and can easily control the head and tall heights. And it goes down to like 8 inches making it just really flexible. It is a bit heavy though. The carbon fibre version was only a little less in weight and considerably more though. Overall just a really solid tripod/Fluid head and much nicer than my Manfrotto for buttery pans.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from VERSITILE - BUT WITH PROBLEMS ! Used in many different situations, outdoors and indoors. The fact that the legs spread wide (no spreader) enables positioning the camera less than 1.5 feet from the ground. The design is VERY good in tight or unusual situations and generally for outdoor wildlife/plant videography. HOWEVER: The camera plate lever-screw (side lock screw) is quite fragile and breaks easily, so buy a spare in advance. This little screw is also quite expensive and must be obtained from the manufacture!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid tripod, smooth pan, worth price I shoot surfing video, fast action with lots of panning. The tripod head has VERY smooth panning. Even without any drag on, the panning is stiff (in a good way). It may be nice to have a little less stiffness on zero drag for real quick pans but I'd gladly give that up for a maintained smoothness. The construction feels solid, legs go tall which is nice, and the different levels of spreader locks allow the tripod to go very low to the ground. Haven't had the tripod too long (only about a month), but have been using frequently at the beach, which is one of the harshest environments to shoot in. So, we'll see how it lasts overtime but so far so good. Worth the price, which is actually the cheap end for Miller. Solid product, hard to go wrong.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little tripod I use this tripod with my Canon 60D and camera accessories. The head can comfortably deal with a little weight over 10lbs, but not a ton more. Personally, I like the aluminum legs better than the carbon fiber. In a short time, the tripod has been in mud, rain, and it has worked great. Used the Scarlett on it a week ago and the weight was not an issue. Totally smooth pan and tilt. Great locks. Do yourself a favor and get more than one camera plate. This way you won't have to keep swapping it from one camera to another.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Generally good, but one major flaw. This is a very good tripod, but the pan and tilt have an excessive amount of drag meaning you will almost certainly have to weigh down the legs. Otherwise, you'll hear the tripod legs shift. The pan and tilt are exceptionally smooth.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent tripod, a little pricey. I like this tripod for smaller cameras. Pan and tilt is nice with no slack, but what lacks is the drag, it's either too much or none at all.
