question

Will this tripod work with a sachtler fsb 6 fluid head?
Asked by: Jacob L.
Yes it will. I purchased this tripod to work with a Sachtler FSB 6 and to supplement the Sachtler speed-lock sticks. The Miller has worked very well. These legs are sturdy and useful in the field.

question

Do the legs come out on their own (gravity) or dos the user have to open them manually (pull legs out)? Also, how good and easy are these twist locks? I prefer the clamp style, I fear these will take to long to adjust.
Asked by: Dallas
No current tripod should have legs that freely move; not only is it awkward, it can be dangerous to your fingers. This tripod has legs that stay in place and you need to move them. Twist or clamp; that is the external question. In the end it is a matter of personal preference. I find that pros tend to go with the twist. Today's twist locks are very quick, usually 1/2 turn or so and are not significantly slower than clamp locks. I also find that clamp levers get caught on every strap within a 10' radius. Miller is one of the high quality brands so you will find working with any of their products a pleasure.

question

can i screw and manfrotto 502 head on this?
Asked by: Angelo
If the head comes with 75mm half-ball, then yes you can. Otherwise you would need a 75mm half ball. I'm using Manfrotto 520 and it works fine with a bit of greasing.
