    Nikon SU-800 Reviews

    Nikon SU-800 easy to use!

My only regret is that I waited so long to purchase the Nikon SU-800 Wireless Speedlight Commander. I rarely do flash photography but needed to during a recent office portrait session. The Nikon SU-800 worked like a charm on my D850 allowing me to get creative with my speedlight as an off camera flash. It was so much fun and I can’t wait to use it again!!!

Terrific For Line Of Sight Off Camera Flashing

Off camera flash is sometimes preferred to on camera flash. The SU-800 Commander is the perfect way to trigger my SB-700 flash when the flash is in a remote position off the camera's hot shoe. But, it is NOT a radio frequency control device so the flash has to see the trigger signal to fire. In normal rooms and offices it is a capable companion to the flash. The SU-800 will trigger multiple flashes off camera, as well, when set for this function.

    question

hi, does it work with the nikon d800e?, and I have 2 nikon flashes the sb-700 and an older one, would it work with both units? at the same time?thanks
    Asked by: Anonymous
The D800e has the flash commander mode built into it, and thus there is no need to purchase this device to use with it. The D800e can trigger any flash models which are compatible with the i-TTL wireless system, including the SB600, SB700, SB800, SB900, SB910. Page 185 of the D800e's instruction manual details how to set the camera up to trigger these flash units. If you would like to confirm if your orlder one is compatible, please send an email to [email protected] and our agents there can confirm its compatibility.
