Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for BW student I'm not a darkroom ninja, but I'm very pleased with the results I get with this as someone starting out with BW printing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Nice Glossy Paper This paper is pretty good. I usually dislike glossy papers but this one doesn't give off the same harsh glare some of the Ilford papers do, but still has the deliciously rich blacks that glossy papers can give. I noticed some normal curling when using an RC dryer, but after cooling the print became close to flat. This has been normal for every paper I've used in this dryer, so it wasn't surprising. The one thing I did not enjoy is that this paper is more fragile than I would like from an RC. Its ability to bend is significantly less than Ilford's and it leaves stress marks easily. However, it does not scratch as easily as Ilford's, which I greatly enjoy. Overall, as long as you ensure the prints are not bent this paper really is great quality. Especially for a student.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great paper I have used this paper before and love the quality and finish. Although it is called glossy, it's not too shiny.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Still a great paper I used the old version of Oriental Seagull back in the days when Ansel Adams was supposed to be a fan of the Oriental line of papers. It is a different animal now, but still an outstanding choice. I find the fiber based version really comes alive after toning in selenium toner, and am glad to see it is available to us who still see the original darkroom experience a great place to spend time perfecting our craft.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes Excellent Prints with Good Tone I wanted to find a paper similar to Forte, which had rich tones. It is very close. In developer (D-76), it takes a bit longer for the image to appear, but the overall development time is the same other paper. I'm nicely satisfied with the images. David E. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Photo major student I used the product for one of my college projects. The paper is of excellant quality; great finish, perfect emulsion properties. My prints came out great! The first time I have used this product and I will continue to use it especially when it outperforms paper that sells for a third more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Paper I have been using Seagull for over 20 years for everything from portraits to scenics and it is one of the best papers I have ever used. It has a very long and beautiful tonal scale, a neutral print color that takes to selenium very well and is consistent from box to box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty decent paper. I use this paper mostly for contact sheets for my 4x5 work. It seems to have a decent amount a silver. It would be good for a beginner who doesn't want to break the bank on their first go around with enlarging.
