    Pelican 1500 reviews

1500NF Case without Foam (Desert Tan) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pelican is still #1. Rugged mil-spec quality! We have been buying these incredible Pelican cases for almost a decade now. We use them for tool cases, and small parts cases. The only thing on these cases that eventually wears out are the O-rings, which takes several years at a minimum to fail. And, the lid latches which become brittle and break in the same time frame as the O-rings. Please make sure that you always push down on the lid when opening the latches! Good news is that Pelican customer service will replace and ship the replacement latches for free. Call Pelican direct for replacement latches. B&H Photo is one of the finest vendors in the business today with very competitive pricing, and free shipping seals the deal!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As Expected... This is the ultimate protection for your equipment. Easily holds at least one camera bodies and three lenses, with accessories. If you intend on buying this with the Pelican padded dividers, be warned you can probably get it cheaper if you buy the two bundled (Pelican 1505). Great for air travel and not having to ever worry about anything conceivable happening to your gear. Unless maybe you like to photograph bombs going off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best deal on Pelican quality From a functional perspective the Pelican cases are superlative. They are however quite pricey. If you can do without the rather overpriced foam (or other internal dressings) the Pelican cases become a better value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best case on the market. B&H best prices on the market too. Been using these magnificent cases as tool cases on a daily basis, with tool pallets installed inside each case. Would not consider any other brand except Pelican. B&H Photo ultra fast shipping too!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid Pelican I got the bare case and put my own foam in it. Worked out great for my odd application. Case is sturdy and solid. Clips are my only complaint - really hard to open or close.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Extremely sturdy! I use this to cart my camera on airplanes. It's extremely sturdy, if a bit difficult to open and close (the latches take a lot of leverage both to close and open).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a very good product We are a contract manufacturer and use these cases for custom tooling kits. This is a very sturdy and solid case that fulfills that purpose.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Weather-Proof Hard Case There is a reason Pelican cases are expensive--they are extremely well made and fully live up to every single claim they make about durability and security. This is an excellent hard case that is fully weather- and waterproof. I have just returned from a full week in the Canadian wilderness with two of these cases, and the contents of these cases were fully protected throughout, including during the capsizing of a canoe. The case is extremely easy to operate, and has handy stay-open latch mechanism. It balances well when fully opened, so does not fall over backward. There are feet on two sides of the case, so it stands and is very stable whether lying flat or standing handle-up. When lying flat the case is fully flat on the inside, allowing you to stow, sort and arrange gear very nicely. There is a great deal of space inside. The case is very light. We put two, loaded, inside a single checked back and did not incur an overweight fee. Mind the latches. They make a distinctive click when fully engaged, so make sure you have fully closed the latch. After the trip, it cleaned up very nicely in a large sink with dish soap and water. Apart from the scratching, you'd never know it had been out in the wilderness. Also, now that the trek is done, I intend to use these cases at home, for valuable objects. Bottom line: this is an outstanding case, lightweight and extremely sturdy, designed well and fully waterproof. You get what you pay for, and you get it all when you pay for this case.
