i bought it for the canon hf g20 and it was fine but the screw on the bottom is short and flimsy on the second day of shooting the camcorder fell off from this bracket , buy other brand with the apropiate screw to attach it

What does this thing measure, in both directions, with the bottom sliding portion fully extended?

The sliding portion is just the screw itself. That part is 5 inches long. The longer part is almost eight inches long. I found that it is poorly made
