The Extra Small LiteDome from Photoflex gives you big results in a very small package. Although the size of the face is only 12 x 16", its surface is 32 times greater than the face of a typical shoe mount flash, and that results in a dramatic improvement in skin texture softening. The Extra Small LiteDome is lightweight and portable, giving you studio-quality lighting wherever you need it. it comes with a basic connector that is ready to accept optional accessories to support a speedlight, however studio strobes require separate purchase of a speedring for use.

    Extra Small LiteDome (12 x 16 x 9") is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 60.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice litedome I've used this a couple of times and the photo's have looked good. I use it ontop of a stroboframe at outdoor events or one where the roof is very high and dark so I can't use the strobo with a big bounce card. It's worlds better than direct flash with diffuser or omnibounce type diffuser. drawbacks are the universal mount is too expensive but yeah it's superuniversal but a much cheaper generic mount should be made available. I made one out of bent aluminum in 20 minutes. Also of note is it colors the flash light down from flash So adjusting your white balance from the usual flash setting is necessary. (closer to full sunlight seemed to work fine for me).

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Read the fine print! I bought this in-store as an impulse buy and should have done a little more research. The product itself looks and works well however it does not come with the bracket to hold the flash and softbox together. I went to use the softbox later that day and assumed the manufacturer had forgotten to include the bracket and was going to return it, but then doing a little online reading found out what my mistake was. I ordered the Photoflex adjustable shoe mount bracket (B&H# PHCASMXSLD)online and will add a complete review once that arrives.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from My little helper I use this in studio for portrait work. I love that the small profile fits nicely into a small studio set-up and that it allows me to move into the world of flash photography...without having to purchase an entire strobe set-up. I also love the fact that it is so mobile, I can use it on location. I use mine with a wireless trigger set up and it has already proven to be just what I need....I'm about to purchase another similar set-up from Photoflex to add to this. My only negative thought is that I wish it had gold and silver linings like the large 3' one has so that the color is warmer in tone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent little softbox! Wasn't really sure about this one. Actually liked the kit price it came in. I wanted a softbox--even if it was small--to work with to determine whether I'd want to spend the bucks on larger ones. Well, this one works quite well even though it's small. You can use it to illuminate 2 people (if they're close). :) A friend and I used it to light a remote e-shoot. Worked out quite well. My only knock on it is I'm not sure how long it'll hold up if used a LOT. Seems well-made but I'm nervous about always setting it up/braking it down. Not that I have had any problems with it mind you. Well worth the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small Photoflex Softbox is Ideal For small jobs and outside use in portraits, this unit is ideal. Works great. Light weight, portable. Use this instead of a paid assistant !

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent soft for speedlights Used for double lighting at receptions and events, and small product photography. Works very well; it's a good product. The only drawrbacks are the rod-and-ring system is slower to setup than umbrella or pop-up types, and there is no lip around the face for controlling spill or attaching accessories like a small grid. With faster setup and a lip, I would give it 5 stars, Photoflex customer service was also excellent in respnoding to a minor missing part issue.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent construction! It assembles so perfectly, that the front difussion material is tense, and it doesn't feel too heavy, nor it causes too much pressure on the flash's front end, because it supports itself from the strongest part of the flash unit (the rear) The light is soft and even, but you loose 2 stops and from 6 ft, you light your subject from the knees up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for Portable Light I have used this softbox with a Nikon SB800 with great results as a very portable light source for quick impromptu portraits. It performs great, takes a bit to get it set up, as I didn't want to break the support rods, but then realized you can bend them as you assemble it. Great product in the field.
