    Behringer 1202FX reviews

XENYX 1202FX - 12 Channel Audio Mixer is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 31.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Product I use this board for small live applications. The first thing I like is the size . I can fit it into my effects/computer case and I'm off. The onboard effects are good. It has plenty of headroom. Mic preamps are very clean.EQ is adequate. All the ins and outs I need. I've had other products from this manufacturer and found them to be reliable. The price for this board is very reasonable. As everybody else remarks, I don't like the lack of a power switch. I've read some of these units have blown because of it. At the price I'll by another. I would suggest that anyone looking for a small mixer with effects buy this.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from No EQ on stereo input channels ??? It is great for mic recording but no EQ on stereo inputs, I don't know about others but if you have input channels you want EQ, that is the whole reason to have a mixer in the first place. Oh well, you have 4 usable mono mic/line inputs with great EQ, the rest of the inputs kinda pointless. Unless you have stereo keyboards/sound modules that don't need EQ ?!! Effects on this unit are SO-SO ok I guess. Good for a quick Demo Song maybe ? Not for recording though. The LED Meter on this is useless, why doesn't Behringer still make good LED Meters like they did with their UB/MX series small mixer line ?!! Which by the way, they were much more accurate and way more useful LED Meters, Why change it now ? Why Behringer why ???

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful and Affordable I hesitated at giving a 5-star rating because of the absence of a power button, but decided all the other great things about this mixer overshadowed that. This little mixer lacks nothing that I need in a mixer and has a footprint comparable to my 10 tablet. It has 12 inputs 4 of which are XLR inputs with 3 band EQs. Phantom power is there for my condenser mics as well as 99 great sounding effects such as reverbs, echoes, and much, much more. If you are a musician/singer working coffee houses and such this mixer is perfect. Pick up a powered speaker to use with it and you are in business. The mixer is also very quiet for recording and the Tape In/Out is right there for ya.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Mixer W/FX for Home Recording I use this mixer to mix the output of my stage piano, computer output, digital camera output, and microphone while I practise at home on my trombone. I can play live with backup music and play it back to see where I need to improve. This mixer has all the flexibility I need to achieve my goals, plus the sound quality is excellent! I also love having digital effects available if I want to take my practise and mix them for a mp3 file to put on the internet. Did I mention how affordable this mixer was? Great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big Things DO Come In Small Packages! I purchased this little mixer for a dinner piano gig I do. Not only do I sing, but I use some backing tracks I put together in my studio (bass & drums, mostly). I needed a small, lightweight mixer with built-in effects that I could plug my mic and i-Pod into. The Xenyx 1202FX fits the bill perfectly. It gives me plenty of channels (enough for another couple of musicians to plug into for an impromptu jam) and the built-in digital effects does a fine job giving space to my mic channel. As with any mixer this size, the power supply is a separate in-line lump, which some people may not be thrilled about. Overall, the Xenyx 1202FX is exactly what I needed in a compact and affordable package. Highly recommended!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Up in smoke! I set this up. I'm testing it, running an iPod and a mic through it. I walk around to go grab another mic from my basement, and I hear this humming sound... and I look over, and SMOKE is coming from this thing! It's literally up in smoke! I pull the power, it continues to smoke for a while, and finally stops. OMG I can't believe it. It almost burned my studio down!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE THIS MIXER I am a professional video editor and I use my 1202fx for recording audio into my computer. I am absolutely pleased as peaches with this mixer I have had it for a little over a year and I have not had a problem with it yet. in response to the previous review up in smoke I have had my 1202fx on for days on end and while it did run hot it never got too hot. what I would recommend (and what I do myself) is to buy a little switch (you can get em from ...) you can plug the cord into to turn it off every night after your done with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Behringer XENYX 1202FX A Great Solution I play both guitar and keyboards. I got this mixer so that I could plug in a couple of keyboards, the combination effects pedal, and a microphone all at the same time and feed them into a couple of Behringer powered speakers. The keyboards and the effects pedal have stereo outputs which works out great with the 4-sets of stereo inputs on the mixer. So far I have been very happy with this mixer. I have been enjoying the convenience and the additional effects. one way it could be improved would be to add XLR mains.
