The Sony SNC-RX550N/B is a dome-style security camera with Day/Night sensitivity, a built-in web server and network interface. It has a wide angle zoom lens that ranges from 3.5 m to 54.2 mm. Its maximum aperture f/1.6 allows the camera to be used in low light environments. It can utilize both JPEG and MPEG4 compression schemes allowing for smooth video streaming and providing high quality still images over a wide range of network bandwidths. This camera can be used in total darkness with its Day/Night infrared feature. This camera has a white housing.

All-In-One Network Design
The SNC-RX550N/B incorporates a built-in web server and a 100Base-TX/10Base-T network interface in a dome design. It allows for monitoring live images and camera control from a PC running a standard web browser. Additional software plug-ins are not needed.
Day and Night Security and Surveillance
The camera is very low light sensitive with its fast f/1.6 lens and minimum illumination of only 1 Lux (with 50 IRE). The camera can also be used in almost complete darkness with its infrared mode. It will capture black and white images by reading infrared spectrum signals. It has a 0.15 Lux minimum illumination specification in this mode.
Superior Picture Quality
This network camera has 1/4-inch CCD that achieves 470 horizontal lines resolution. The CCD imager requires only 1.0 Lux with f/1.6 (at 50IRE) which enables the camera to capture clear images even under low light conditions.
AC or DC Power Options
This camera can be powered by both conventional security system power sources. It accepts conventional 12 volt DC as well as 24 volt AC systems which are common for security applications.
Wide to Narrow Views
The dome camera has a CS lens mount that allows for a wide variety of lenses be attached for your special applications. The wide angle 3.5 mm shows a 55° horizontal angle view. The maximum telephoto 91 mm shows a narrow 2.5° horizontal angle view.
Digital Zoom Function
In addition to the 26x optical zoom of the built-in varifocal lens there is a digital zoom function as well. The camera is able to zoom in with a 12x digital zoom on top the optical varifocal making a 312x maximum zoom.
