Sachtler 7011 overview

  • 1Description

Unlike a ground spreader, the Mid-Level Spreader 75 with Rubber Foot Set from Sachtler enables you to set your tripod's legs at individual heights. This adjustable spreader is especially useful when positioning the tripod on surfaces of varying heights, including stairs and other stepped platforms. Fasten the included rubber feet (set of three) over the tripod's leg spikes to provide secure footing on flat surfaces.

The Mid-Level Spreader 75 is compatible with all Sachtler 75mm tripods except Flowtech, SOOM, Ace M MS 1001 and Ace L TT 1013 systems, and ENG 75/2 D HD.

Mid-Level Spreader 75 with Rubber Foot Set is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works As Intended This spreader is Sachtler-made and Sachtler-priced. It's built solid. And it definitely makes life easier using this mid-level spreader instead of a ground spreader on my DA 75 tripod. The instructions are not crystal clear, but the illustrations are good enough to figure it out. The whole assembly shouldn't take more than about 15 minutes, if you are thorough and careful. I recommend doing this on a flat, controlled surface, as there are a lot of tiny screws and threads that you cannot lose, or the whole spreader won't work.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from must have If you own a DA 75 set of legs... you defenitely need this, or a ground spreader. I'm surprised that a lot of plastic was used in manufacturing this, considering it was very expensive. Quality build is not as good as other Sachtler spreaders

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works, but annoying... Works as intended, but there's no quick way to remove it, which is quite annoying. Not a big deal, but there are times when it would be nice to remove the spreader and not spend 30 minutes to do it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for shootuing on the go The used Sachtler 75 I purchased came with the floor spreader which is excellent and very stable but not too well suited for various terrain. Fine for the studio. In an effort to improve usefulness in the field I purchased the mid spreader and feet. I am a video novice, but wow what a difference the mid spreader made. First, it makes it possible to have feet with or without the spreader so when you are outdoors and want some bite you can simply take the feet off and pack them away. The second advantage becomes evident when moving the tripod. When you loosen the locking thumbscrews on the mid spreader, the spreader moves and auto adjusts with the movement of the legs. This makes it very easy to setup the tripod where and how you want and then lock down the spreader for stability. The only con I can note is that it seems a little light duty, the gauge of the parts is a little thin, but that makes it light and I have not had an issue with it not providing the required stability so perhaps it is just well engineered, not light duty.Highly recommended. The feet alone are $$ from Sachtler (ridiculous actually) but if you are going for it might as well get the spreader too.
