Use this simple, white satin umbrella to bounce a strobe light source, or to shoot light through. Both methods will soften and broaden the light output.

This umbrella is intended for use with flash sources. Prolonged use with constant, or modeling light sources over 250W will eventually result in discoloration or scorching.

This size is perfect for a 1-2 person head, or head-to-waist shot, or a 4x6 ft product setup.

The translucent white satin material is color balanced to all Photoflex soft boxes, panels and discs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Great umbrella. I prefer the results from the white shoot through, so I got this one instead of the convertible one with the black cover, and I don't have to worry about removing the black cover, which is very nice. Regarding whether to purchase a 45 vs 60, I have used them both, and the 45 for me was just as good as the 60 for a full view of a group of 3 people on a couch. I could not tell any significant difference in the photos (as a novice). However, the 60 is really huge for indoors and it's heavy and makes your light stand less stable even if you have a great light stand. I highly recommend this umbrella.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Well Constructed I bought this umbrella to use in my video studio, to upgrade from my old, uber-cheap Cowboy Studio kit. All I can say is WOW, I'm completely impressed! The fabric on the umbrella is super soft, and very shiny, it diffuses the light across it evenly. If you're on the fence about buying this, I say go for it! You will not regret it!The metal rod seems very strong and not likely to get dented by screw-type umbrella holders. Unlike my Cowboy Studio umbrella rod which more-or-less seemed like play-doh in comparison.I use this as a bounce umbrella and it works very well at it! I was so impressed by this umbrella that I purchased (2) 45 white convertible umbrella a week later to replace my other two umbrellas.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The product is great, but arrived damaged 4Star for the product and 0 star for the B&H Shipping staff This umbrella is great, except the cheap plastic tip, the umbrella arrived with the plastic tip broken, was not package properly. In the future I will bought only umbrellas with metal tips like the APUTURE I have not returned it because last time I returned an item from Canada it cost me more than the cost of the item, I contacted Photoflex directly and bought some spare plastic tips

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Solid Umbrella Sturdy, smooth, and have a good large arc. I have been very happy with my Photoflex umbrellas and so when I purchased a new Alien Bee I added another one to my kit. I shoot my light thru these for soft portable light. These umbrellas have a solid shaft that is very sturdy and dies not crush after repeatedly clamped into place. I hope I have to wait a long time before this unit crashes down to the ground, but this new style has flexible (plastic?) spokes which look like they are able to take much more abuse than the metal ones of the past. Good solid unit, more than fair price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Much nicer than aluminum-ribbed brollies! The fiberglass ribs of this umbrella makes it much more resilient to a tip-over. I've terminally damaged a few (cheaper) aluminum-ribbed umbrellas due to my own clumsiness and that of others. These ribs have a lot of flexibility to spring back after contacting the ground or getting crushed in a rush of packing. Very lightweight, but sturdy build, nice large size, bounce or shoot-through. Mid-priced, so they're not a huge investment, they should last better than most.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Perfect umbrella For the price point this is a perfect umbrella. I've spent more and gotten less. Quality build and excellent color. As a shoot through this is perfect. You CANNOT go wrong with this umbrella. If you can only buy one, buy this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Its a winner When used as a shoot throught, light is perfectly diffused for a natural white lighting. I love the white fiber glass ribs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product, Great Price I am very happy with my purchase from B & H Photo once again! I can always count on these reviews in guiding me which products I should purchase, so I decided to give back to the community by leaving a review. This umbrella is a great shoot through umbrella! The construction of it is an A+ for sure and it is built with high quality materials. I use a SB-900 with it, and it produces great diffused lighting! With this price, don't think twice!
