Harman Kardon AVR645 Overview

  • 1Description

The Harman Kardon AVR 645 A/V Receiver combines the sonic power of a high-current, ultrawide-bandwidth amplifier with the computing power of Texas Instrument's most advanced audio DSP to deliver unparalleled performance. Thanks to Harman Kardon's advanced EzSet/EQ functionality, the AVR 645 not only automates speaker output and delay settings, it corrects for room acoustics with a parametric equalizer. Add video conversion circuits that output all video sources via component connections with on-screen graphics, and you have the power to tame any system and deliver powerful performance.

EzSet/EQ
Using a standard, high-precision microphone, and onboard test and control circuitry with accuracy that rivals expensive test gear, EzSet/EQ not only configures your system for the correct speaker settings, delay times and crossover frequencies; it uses a parametric equalizer to optimize the receiver's output to match the sonic signature of your listening room.
A-BUS Ready
Connectivity, configurable rear surround amplifiers and a standard Zone II remote make it incredibly easy to bring Harman Kardon sound to other rooms in the house.
Surround Mode Selection
The ability to reproduce a full multichannel surround sound field from digital sources, analog matrix surround-encoded programs and standard stereo programs. Selection of a surround mode is based on personal taste, as well as the type of program source material being used.
THE BRIDGE iPod Docking Station
Links iPod and Harman Kardon: two names synonymous with music playback, ease of control and elegant design. Allowing you to share the favorite tracks and playlists stored on your iPod with anyone in listening range of a compatible Harman Kardon AVR series even in a connected second room. The Bridge also charges the iPod while you use it.
HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface)
This high-bandwidth interface supports not only brilliant digital video, but digital audio as well. Up to 5 Gbps of data more than twice what's needed for a high-definition movie with surround sound can be handled, with room for future requirements.
