The Source Four 750 Watt 14° Black Ellipsoidal Spotlight with 3 blade Edison Plug combines the energy-saving power of the patented HPL lamp, with a dichroic reflector and optical-quality lenses. Source Four technology provides a clean white beam for unequaled imaging, crisp pattern projection, and a bright, even field.

Rated for 375, 575 or 750 watts, the Source Four is perfect for punching through saturated colors and providing the longest throws. The optional EDLT lens tubes for 26, 36 and 50° field angle models make the Source 4 even better for ultra-crisp, high-contrast gobo projections.

When fitted with a 750 watt HPL bulb (available separately), this fixture will provide a beam of 170 footcandles 13 ft (4 m) in diameter, from a distance of 50 ft (15.2 m). It will throw 50 footcandles 24 ft (7.3 m) in diameter, from a distance of 92 ft (28 m).

This model includes a 3 prong Edison Power Plug.

Great light for many situations. As a crew of one, this light is quick to setup and configure in so many ways. However it is HEAVY.

Scares The Neighbors

Neighbors hate it when I pretend to use this as a ray gun and shoot aliens invading their house. It does have an amazing throw though as our houses are pretty far apart. I have also used this in live video productions with some patterns to make it look like trees coming through windows or windows coming through windows. Options are unlimited with some creativity and some aliens to shoot at.

Does this light eliminate "bands" in the picture background when the pic is taken at 800 fps? In other words is it anti-flickering light? IN other words is this constant-current power supply. In other words is this constant-current power supply light?
Asked by: George
The light is a simple fixture connected to an AC power supply. US power has a 60Hz rate. There is the potential for this unit to have flicker when the frame rate exceeds that number.

question

I am planning to use your ETC Source Four 750 Watt Ellipsoidal Spotlight, Black, Edison Plug - 36 Degrees for a night cycling event photo finish processing and I have a couple of questions, It can be mounted on a tripod? It can be plug in a portable 120 V generator? Under those circumstances we do not need a dimmer, do we?Thank you in advance for your prompt response.
Asked by: Anonymous
You can plug it directly in to the outlet but you won't be able to dim it of course. it is kind of heavy so it would need a sturdy tripod but you would have to have the proper mounting bracket. I am not sure how much power you will get from your generator but you would have to check the wattage. thank you.
