5-15x17 LS Sparrow Zoom Binocular is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Good Value Very clear vision. Requires fairly bright conditions at higher zoom due to small objective lens diameter. Zoom range very functional for size of optics. Field of view is average for a zoom binocular. Easy to focus. Varying eye relief requires some getting used to. Diopter setting is hard to read because of its location. Zoom lever could be in a more ergonomic position. Very convenient to take anywhere because of its compact size and weight. Option for attaching neckstrap, instead of just wriststrap, would be useful. Overall, hard to beat for the price.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice size and feature, but not for me... I had purchased these for use at the theater. They are nice and small, fit perfectly in one hand and I could carry it in my pocket. Loved the feature of a zoom capability but it was not working for me. In wide FOV I was able to see everything clearly and keep images sharp. It was when I zoomed in that the parallax began to shift and I would end up with double images. I followed the included instructions on how to focus the binocular and adjust the hinge, but no matter what adjustment I made it would not alleviate the parallax problem I was having. I have sent these back and will continue to look for a pair that works for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Highly recommend These binoculars are really small and light to carry. They come with a well fitting small soft case that makes them easy to carry in my purse. I use these for travel purposes. The fog proof and waterproof features were important to me as well as being compact. These features work great. Most all binoculars that I have owned fogged up fairly quickly and these don't. I haven't had a chance to test out the waterproof feature yet. I am sure that if that feature works as well as the fogproof feature it will be great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Cool Binocular I'm a lowly security guard and this binocular is very reliable while on the job. It comes in handy when I'm in the guard tower and surveilling my surrounding for any sign of trouble. What I really love is that it's small and very lightweight and I always carry it with the included case that I have attached to my belt. Visuals are very clear but zooming can cause a narrowing effect which is to be expected from this type of binocular. Once I mastered it, it wasn't a problem anymore. Now if you'll excuse me, I think I spotted a hot babe...uh...I mean trouble at 3:00. Stay safe.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value for the money I only received these last week and gave them a short test on the weekend. Never having used zoom binoculars I wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised by the small size, reasonably powerful magnification, adjustment and clarity of vision of these. I needed to replace an older pair of budget level 8x25 compact binos because the rubber casing has gone mushy and sticky rendering them unusable. These LaScala Sparrow are much smaller but more powerful with a clearer image. I'm no expert but the optics seem high quality for the price. The only thing I don't like is that they only have a small wrist strap, but given the size I'm not yet sure if that is really an issue. Happy to recommend based on use so far.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent Compact Binocluars The Sparrow has excellent optical quality and is comfortable and easy to adjust. We use it for job site inspections. The small size makes it convenient to carry so it's available when you need. Larger binoculars tend to stay in the truck so you find yourself having to go back to the truck when you realize you need them. The only negative is the Sparrow comes with a wrist strap instead of a neck strap that frees up your hands.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice binoculars for price These were bought s a gift for my son. The compact size and belt slot on the case will be perfect for when he goes hiking. He wanted a small pair of binoculars for general use and he was very happy with these in the limited time he had to try them out
