Excellent for checking slides and negatives. Before I got an expensive, I think it was a Toshiba or maybe Tamron zoom loupe that was made like a tank, I used these plastic guys for years. Sold the tank on ebay. I didn't want to slip with that kind of bulk on my precious slides and negs. Back to basics and it works just as good as in the days when nothing else was available.
