The Nite-Ize LED Upgrade Module replaces the original incandescent bulb in two to six C and D-cell Maglites with the PR-style flange to increase the output and runtime, while maintaining the familiar Maglite form and function. Installation of the module is as easy as changing the bulb because the module housing uses the same push-and-twist bayonet mounting system as the stock bulbs. Upgrading your light to LED not only increases brightness and battery life, but adds shock-resistance and a significantly longer lamp life.

LED Upgrade Module for C & D-Cell Maglites is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 21.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from fits my 12V Black & Decker Firestorm flashlight LED's use so much less power. I tried the LED upgrade on my 12V Firestorm Black & Decker lamp. Installed clean and easy. The LED is very bright and adds more value to my otherwise lack luster battery brightness and consumption using a standard bulb. The standard bulb also got hot during use and ran down the ni-cad lantern battery quickly This upgrade is the way to go if your using your lantern after dark for quite awhile and it still has ni-cad batteries in it. Very bight lamp now. Guess i'll be keeping my little 12 V lamp and drill. GG .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Read this! You won't be sorry. This upgrade is equivelent or better than the krypton incandescent bulb that comes in most premium flashlights, such as Maglights. The advantages are dependability and battery longevity. Once you realize that you need a practical flashlight and not a tactical one, all you keyboard commandos will buy this bulb and be happy for the rest of your life.It lasts forever, and since it doesn't turn battery power into heat, the batteries last and last. My choice for my D cell lights. I hate the dark.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Continue into the night I bought it to upgrade and old friend. Haven't really used it for anything since I was stationed as a UN soldier in former X-Jugoslavia back in the 90'ies. It deserved a nice upgrade. Never go down on equipment...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I picked up one of these by chance, curious as to how it dif I picked up one of these by chance, curious as to how it differed from the 1 Watt LED mod by Nite Ize and discovered that it has made a brilliant "survival" light mod. Light output is relatively low however adequate for seeing in the dark, and results in exceptional runtimes for 2D flashlights or higher. I used mine during the tornado and weeklong blackout here two weeks ago it made a reliable and long-life survival light. It's still using the same batteries and has been since last year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works. Buy it. I used the same bulb here for both my 3 and 6 D-cell flash light. Beam is hella brite, and very white. The shape of the projected beam adjusts just like with the manufacturer bulb, but brighter and an almost neutral color cast. I haven't metered the brightness or used my colorimeter on it, but it passes the eyeball test with flying colors.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from works with Ryobi 18 volt flashlights got this to replace the halogen bulb in my Ryobi 18 volt power tool flashlight and works perfectly. i find the led are cooler than the halogens, plus they last longer. not getting 5 stars because of the price. $8 or $9 for a flashligh bulb is still way too much in my opinion. B+H price was $1.25 or so cheaper than the @.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Got the LED bulb upgrade for my 2D maglite before mag made L Got the LED bulb upgrade for my 2D maglite before mag made LEDs. Changed the batteries after 2 years because I could not believe it was still running. On second set of batteries in 4 years.Still works like new, using every day for 2 minutes. They use less power than the real Maglite which I like.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well nice bright light but Works well nice bright light but the bulb is a bit short and I don't have the full focus range I used to have. It works well enough though and my batteries will last far longer and so should the bulb. I don't really need the focus on the big 6 battery Gordon flashlight I put it in.
