Rosco RS340811 Reviews

Cinegel Filter #3408 RoscoSun 1/2 CTO (20 x 24" Sheet) is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 49.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great warming filter for beach This gel met my expectations by warming up my subjects just a little bit but not too much. I use this on my on camera and off camera flash outdoors so I do not receive white out images of people. Nice alternative to using a gold reflector when its windy, like at the beach. Cut a few inches around your flash and use a rubber band to secure and it works great. I haven't had any negative issues with it since its only been a few weeks of use. I use it on a Metz 54MZ3 flash. Typically slide film using a Leica camera body.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from From Hideous to Heaven We installed an LED light on our staircase wall that was advertised as warm but was quite harsh once installed.  This filter was the perfect tone to to warm the light.  Its orange tint is not what I would have intuitively thought would work, yet its perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I used this filter to tone down 6000K sunlight leds to warm up their look. I ended up with something close to a 3,000k to 2,700K look.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does exactly what it's suppose to I got this filter for my new LED lights. I needed to drop the 6500k temp to around 4500k and this filter will accomplish that.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good product, bad service. This gel was sent FOLDED UP in a square box. Should have been sent roled up in a tube, or flat. Because it was folded it creased the gel and that in turn made it worthless. Whomever shipped this out needs to be trained how to ship gels. I have pictures. Gel is good quality....seller is NOT.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solved the problem! I bought under the cabinet LED lights and they were too bright white, so the film worked perfectly to turn them into a warm glow. I cut a pattern then used that on the film. I spot glued it on with magic glue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for fluorescent lights I have a small home studio for a weekly video webcast. My studio light is fluorescent lights and I wanted to tone it down. The filter does the trick. I cut to size and placed inside the light cover.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must for flash use Use over flashes for warming the light output to match with indoors tungsten available light or for special effects for outside shots. Use 2 or more sheets for doubling the effect as needed.

Is it uv protected? ie will it fade if left outdoors or exposed to sunlight?
Asked by: Anonymous
I do not use Roscoe Gel out of doors. Unfortunately, I'm unable to confirm or deny that prolonged exposure to sunlight will or will not fade the gel.

Moved into house with led utility lights facing up behind cornice. Could this be cut and laid directly on led bulbs?
Asked by: Karen O.
Yes...LEDs run very cool and as a photographer I've used Rosco gels for most of my life, including on halogen lights.

Are these flexible? I'm looking for CTO filters to put over my Monolights (Xplor 600).
Asked by: Daniel S.
Thats exactly what I plan on doing with them. Do a search online for the commercially available AD600 gels shaped like a large +. You can easily cut these sheets into that shape and use high temp silicone bands from the cooking section of any grocery store to attach them... and save a ton of $ in the process.
