Cinegel filters are meticulously manufactured on a heat-resistant base polymer utilizing a patented deep-dyed technology for heat stability and superior color transmission.

On-line computerized colorimetry continuously monitors color and density against strict standards, thus assuring a reliable and consistent product.

STRAW RoscoStraw Daylight Conversion filters are a series of yellowish amber filters that lower color temperature as needed. Offered as a yellower version of the traditional CTO series and is calibrated to the same color correction and transmission properties.

#3442 Filter - 1/2 Straw CTS - 20x24" is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 35.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gel Your Flash Simply cut a piece to the shape of your flash and use two small pieces of gaff tape to hold it in position. This was used during a reception for a 50th wedding anniversary and at first I thought it was a waste because the display was showing everything was underexposed but in reality it was tack on. After some VERY minor PP to the images it appeared as if the flash was not used since the 1/2 CTS balanced the flash to the same temp as the room. The roll is large enough to last for may years. The only issue to be aware of is to compensate your flash output since you will loose about a 1/3-2/3 stop. This is not a negative just something to be aware of since after all you are defusing the flash.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Innexpensive and effective Being new to photography I didn't realize how the flash from a speedlight would affect white balance. Did a quick check and found out about using this to gel the flash. Works great! This particular color warms up my flash to give more flattering skin tones and matches tungsten lightbulbs perfectly. The sheet is way more material than I needed, but since DIY gels are probably not going to last long I'm glad I've got a deep supply. Don't forget some velcro to attach this to your flash!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for altering flash temperature Really useful product at a very affordable price. I find this product more effective than the Tungsten flash diffusers. You can layer more than one piece onto a flash to increase the effect but your output will also reduce. Overall, I would recommend this product

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for flash photography. I use the 1/2 Straw CTS filter when I do portraits using flash. The gel gives a warm tone to the skin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for outdoor portraits I use a strip of this filter mounted on my flash units for outdoor portraits in the SF Bay Area. The intensity is just right for balancing the blue hues cast onto the model by the morning sky. Does not lose much color value even after full flash. It is too orange in comparison to daylight, i.e. too orange to be used on sunlit objects. For that, I use Rosco Cinegel #3443 Filter - 1/4 Straw CTS.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tungsten gel I use this to color correct my flash with tungsten lights. I use this gel more than the full straw CTS version. One sheet will give you plenty to last you a long while.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy this product again I use the gel as a warming filter for my Quantum Flashes and Nikon Speedlights. Produces nice light quality. It takes a strobe half-way towards tungsten.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Photo Gel I shoot indoor events and parties and use this gel over my 580EX II flash in tungsten light. It works very well and produces excellent results.
