Davis & Sanford DSF10A Reviews

Good at what it does.

I got it to use my camera as a webcam on my desk, and it works well for that. It's just a little top-heavy with a camera on it. Otherwise, the ball mount is good and it telescopes to basically double its original height.

Ever want to do an interview using a teleprompter, but you don't have a teleprompter, but there is a teleprompter on line; a monopod is not steady and too risky to falling over, but how do I position my camera for that great shot! Will I now have it the Davis & Sanford F-10 Display Stand 10. See my attached pics for set up application...

For tight situations where a monopod or tripod will not work, this display Stand worked. I used the Display Stand behind my Mac computer with a camcorder on top to record a person while using a online teleprompter, it worked perfectly...

I purchased 3 to use as stationery video camera mounts in our auditorium. I know that they are primarily sold as units for demo cameras, but these work great as I have a wood rail that I easily mounted them to. I just wish that the pant/tilt handle was a little more substantial (larger). But the head is really nice! Nice for the price!

Replaced the basic camera mast that came with our Media Creation system with this unit. It provides our students with signicantly smoother and greater control as they produce Video interviews and announcements for our School's Kiosk system!

Good product, but it does not have enough information on the special mount for security. You have to call to inquire.

I purchased this {Davis & Sanford Display Stand 10 with Ball Head} with the understanding that the ball head could be switched for another. After receiving and inspecting the product, after several attempts It is IMPOSSIBLE to remove the included (BHQ8) Ball Head that comes with this stand. I thought maybe I was overlooking something, so I came back to the product page and noticed that the design has either changed or I got a lemon. There is no ball head plate on my unit...the ball head section seems to be seamlessly attached to the pole of the display stand? (see included pic) The picture on the product page has a mounting plate between the ball head and the top section of the pole. That piece is not included with the unit I recently received. ...(Also) this product does not include any mounting screws. which is not a problem or deal breaker, but for the price I'd expect at least 4 mounting screws...guess I'm spoiled by Monoprice, who for half the price of Davis & Sanford's offering, includes several mounting accessories with their stands. With that said, This seems to be a really nice stand, (I haven't tested it yet) But it's well built, solid and light. And as long as it took to find these in stock, I'll hold on to it...and hopefully if I order another one it will have the ball head plate so I can have the option to change to a wider ball head :)

Well Pleased

Would I be able to replace the ball head on this ...

Would I be able to replace the ball head on this with a Magnus VPH-10 2-Way Pan/Tilt Head?
Asked by: Dan
today is Tuesday (02-23-2021) and the unit of this model that I received today does not have a mounting plate (which is pictured in the product photos) and the ball head is permanently attached to the mounting pole! The reason I ordered this was because this thread stated the head could be changed to something better suited for individual needs. So to anyone who's purchasing this product (unless mine is dysfunctional) be forewarned that this head is no longer replaceable.
