    Rotatrim RCM54 reviews

54" Mastercut Professional Rotary Cutter is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rotatrim vs Dahle The MDF based Rotarim is a sturdier, but heavier cutter with more metal parts than Rotatrim, which with the exception of the metal base, has many plastic parts. Neither will cut anything but paper although some models by both manufacturers will cut 4 ply matt board, but just barely and not the 28 inch Dahle or 54 inch Rotatrim. The Dahle trimmers will cut in either direction, the Rotatrim will only do this if the cutting head is physically modified. The Dahle is lighter and can be wall mounted for storage. The magnetic squaring stop on the Dahle is easier to use and slightly longer than the one on the Rotatrim. Both bases are about 12 inches deep, and both would have been better served had they been deeper. The Rotatrims sold in N. America have quarter inch grids with inch and metric scales on three sides making them easier to use for most applications in the US, compared to the centimeter grid with inch and metric scales on the Dahle. The Dahle trimmers are also marked at 15, 30, 45, 60, 75 angles, and for standard international A sized papers. Both cut anything from acid free tissue paper to 500 g/m cotton fine art paper and can remove as little as 0.5 mm cleanly. My nod goes to the Rotatrim, but I would have no hesitation going for a Dahle if I was working with international sized paper more often, angled cuts, or if the trimmer had to be stored between cuttings.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you need a cutter, this is the one! I have two of this brand/type, just two sizes... top class stuff here! I have a 24 wide Epson and now I can cut 4 FOOT prints with the same precision and ease as I can cut a 5x7... Great products!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rotatrim Provides A Mastercut Every Time Our company has been using a M42 Rotatrim brand rotary cutter for years. Now that the size of the images we produce has grown it only seemed natural to purchase a new, larger cutter. Without question Rotatrim was the only choice for us. I look forward to many good years with this exemplary tool.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid piece of equipment We use this cutter in an office of planners. It is used to trim maps, plans, psters, etc.; usually 1-4 sheets at a time and works great. The stand is pretty solid, but the work surface or table is not very large. Occassionally this leads to creases or folds in the paper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My second Rotary Cutter I bough my first Rotary Cutter over 40 years ago (24 model), has always served me well. Started printing bigger (44) so I needed a larger cutter. Could not have asked for a better product, looking forward to at least 40 years service out of this cutter.....Great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've got 2 Rotatrims, it's that good I've got two darkrooms handling large film sizes.and use a 54 Rotatrim in both. I've had one 3 years and works perfectly and accurately without adjustment.
