Primera Bravo SE overview

  • 1Description

The Bravo SE Disc Publisher from Primera is a practical solution for burning and labeling inkjet-printable CD and DVD discs. The publisher allows you to burn and print labels for 20 discs at a time. The Pioneer DVD burner has full support for Dual Layered DVD media as well as CD-R and CD-RW. The inkjet printing delivers professional looking discs, making this a great option for musicians, community groups or anyone else needing to distribute professional CD and DVD content without having the time to print discs manually.

Software Bundle
The printer is bundled with Primera PTPublisher SureThing CD Label Software Primera Edition for Windows as well as CharisMac Engineering's Discribe for Mac OS X. This lets you get started printing discs regardless of your operating platform.
High Capacity
The duplicator has a capacity to burn and print 20 discs at a time. This allows you to print a batch of discs without having to sit in front of a computer to change discs as they print.
AccuDisc Technology
The robotic arm, powered by Bravo's AccuDisc technology, prevents double feeding of discs into the drive by using advanced LED optics instead of mechanical components.
High Quality Printing
The printer features 4800 dpi printing resolution, which translates into photo-realistic disc artwork.

    Primera Bravo SE reviews

Bravo SE Disc Publisher is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 38.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Mac users beware Not reliable if you are a Mac user . Too many software bugs and unusable discs, you need to check every disc to make sure it can be read by your computer. It is not supposed the print the label is the discs fail to verify. Discs will pass verify and the label will print but the disc may still be unusable, I have gotten blank discs that pass verify and the label printed on them! Their technical support solution? Switch to a PC or buy a third party software package for $299 to make it work on the Mac! Have very little experience running it from a PC but the application seems to have less bugs than the Mac version. But the label application on the PC side is not very user friendly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fine but... Only one star because I own this machine since over 2 years BUT they force us to buy software update... (200$) I explain: I'm using the software that was included with the package and this one is running fine but my hard drive died and i replaced it. Surprise, i'm unable to get a new software key because they no more support old software version...!!! (Because the drive have been changed, you must reinstall the software and ask for a new key over the internet). The only solution is to buy a new software because i changed a drive !!! GRRRR.... Overall the machine does the job. Not a fast one but it does the job for small business. But, when your drive will fail, you will have to buy a new software !! TOTALLY CRASY... THINK TWICE if you buy this machine... The very same problem if you change your computer !!! THINK TWICE...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Little bundle of joy About a year ago I had the option of going with Bravo SE or with the Aleratec Roboracer and I chose the Roboracer because it allowed for a higher capacity of discs and it used lightscribe for labeling. Well one year, 50 or so delayed projects and countless ruined discs later, I gave up on my Roboracer and have discovered the pure simple joy of a product that works the way it is supposed to. No jammed discs, beautifully printed labels, and easy to use too. Good buy with the Bravo SE, so goodbye Roboracer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Time Saving Product I was spending a lot of non-productive time in my small video business making 20-30 copies of my DVD's at a time. Burning a DVD then printing it required a lot of hands-on and wasted time waiting for a task to finish. I needed a more automated way to deal with this. After comparing specs and prices of the few models on the market, I settled on the BravoSE Disc Publisher. Not the least expensive, but probably the best price-performance product offered in its' catagory. I am very satisfied with the product, both in quality and performance. Good job Primera!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Duplicator... with some comments ....I have burnt and printed off about 250 CDs and DVDs so far and all is OK.After using a high quality Canon 7 color, single feed CD printer, this is much easier to print large numbers, but the 3 color print cartridge means muddy black, and not as defined color. However, the ease of burning/printing is worth the decrease in print quality.Cartridge price seems a little steep.Overall, very happy so far. Praying and believing that this will carry on for many years of trouble-free duplication as, being an international customer, I don't fancy having to send it back to the USA for repair! The extended warrantee option prices seem rather steep... and beg the question, are they not willing to stand behind their product for over a year?!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Printer Power Nothing could be easier than the Bravo SE. It acts as any USB device should, just plug and play. There is a very in-depth menu to get your printings just right, that's something they don't tell you about. Great customer service with Primera. I can't say anything bad about it. You can burn and print or just one or the other.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Product The Primero Bravo took a little time to figure out but now I'm getting great results with it. The print quality is better than my Epson 800. It shipped with an older version of the software for the Mac so I had to get on tech support to resolve an issue that had been corrected in the newer version of the software. But after jumping through that hoop it printed fine. And now that I'm running the current version it's working great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this little CD/DVD wonder! Our church uses the Bravo SE Disc Publisher to produce audio CD's of our sermons for our shutins and to produce rehearsal CD's for our worship ministry. In the future we hope to add video capability to our sanctuary, and then our Bravo SE will help us produce DVD's of sermons. The Bravo SE helps me save time and effort. I set up my files to burn, add a label, and hit GO. Then, while the Bravo SE burns and prints my discs, I can work on other things. The Bravo SE Disc Publisher is the heart of our fledgling media ministry, and it makes my work more efficient and joyful!
