    question

Does this light work with a dimmer, and if so do you have any recommendations?
    Asked by: John
This light can be used with an inline dimmer such as the Impact D1000 1,000W AC Dimmer Control (110-120V) B&H # IMD1000. Please see the image below for reference.

    question

Can I put a CFL bulb in this ?
    Asked by: Mrinal
The Chimera Socket Adapter - Mogul to Medium Base, B&H # CHRMMB, would allow you to use a CFL bulb, such as either the Eiko Spiral Fluorescent Lamp (85W/120V), B&H # EIFS85, or the Eiko Spiral Fluorescent Lamp (105W / 120V), B&H # EIFS105Z, with the Chimera Video Pro Plus 1 Triolet Kit.

    question

    Is the power adjustable?
    Asked by: Adam M.
The Chimera Triolet Flood Light does not have a control to adjust output power. As such, you would have to purchase a dimmer such as the Impact D1000 1,000W AC Dimmer Control (110-120V), B&H # IMD1000, for your planned usage needs.

The Chimera Mogul Base Lamp - 500 Watts/120 Volts - for Lantern, B&H # CHLM500L, would be a 500 watt bulb that is compatible for use with the Chimera Triolet Mogul Base Flood Light.

    question

The picture for the 9930OP Chimera Triolet Flood Light with Octaplus Speed Ring shows an Octaplus speed ring without quick release (9890OP), but the included equipment lists an Octaplus Speed Ring with quick release (9890QR). Which is it?
    Asked by: Jeffrey Lawlis
This kit would include a Chimera Octaplus Dedicated Speed Ring for Triolet which has fixed corners rather than quick release corners. Chimera only manufacturers their Quick Release Speed Rings in the 4 corner type.

    question

How hot does this light get, and what is the expected bulb life?
    Asked by: Marty F.
Whie we do not have a specific temperature rating, as the Chimera Video Pro Plus 1 Triolet Kit (220V) does use a 1000W tungsten bulb, the light fixture does produce quite a bit of heat. It is advised to use gloves designed for lighting, such as either the Setwear Hothand Gloves (Large), B&H # SESHH05010, or the ARRI Leather Grip Gloves (Large), B&H # AR850010 (depending on the size you need) when using the unit. The Chimera Mogul Base Lamp has a estimated life expectancy of approximately 2000 hours.
