Mounting Adhesive Roll - 24"x50' is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple and effective photo mounting I have used the Scotch Mounting Adhesive for about two years with great results. It doesn't require any special equipment, and it works fine. I used other methods before, but wrinkles in the photos always occured over time. The Scotch product was the answer to the problem.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very good but... Excellent product for the home user, but, have some solvent cleaner handy because it sticks to your fingers before you know, and if you touch anything with your contaminated hand you can very well kiss your print good bye. And make sure before you mount your next print, that it's no contamination from the previous mounting.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Practice makes perfect... You need to practice with this stuff. I jumped right in and hated it but as I went along I was able to use it and get good results. You need some space to work with it. You need a had surface to press the glue paper onto your print. The KEY is when you peel the back off, you NEED TO DO IT SLOW! If you go too fast, you end up taking all the glue off the print, no matter how hard you pressed it on there. Use a sharp razor knife to cut the paper as close to your size as you can, a little extra won?t matter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far, so good! I just used the adhesive roll for the first time, on several digital prints. They were pretty large; 16x24, 18x28, and 20x26. The adhesive roll was fairly easy to use, and I like having a nice, wide roll to work with. I use heavy paper for my prints, and it tends to want to roll up. So far, this adhesive has held them really well. I'm interested in seeing how it does long term.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Garbage I use the Gudy from light impressions and had to try this stuff because Light Impressions is under restructuring or something and I can't get it. Im trying to prepare for a show. This stuff is garbage. Plain and Simple. Useless. I gave it 1 star because I can't give it negative 5.I actually just threw $ in the garbage. Unbelievable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love This Product We mount our own photos and use this product. In the past we have used the smaller size but decided to try this wider size this time. We love both sizes but this one works better using our 18x24 backing boards. Love this product! Works great.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It Just Sticks The literature says it is repositionable. It aint so. Plan your work such that you do not need to alter the placement.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Practice Makes Perfect As with most things, using this product requires practice. It took me several smaller prints and two big ones before I was willing to try this on an important print. Having done that I'm perfectly happy with the results. In response to points made in other reviews: You won't get glue on the front surface of the print if you follow the instructions carefully and are careful not to touch the sticky side of the roll. The included non-stick paper is great stuff - use it to handle the sticky side of the roll. Be careful, in this large size, when removing the paper from the back of the print. After starting to peel the paper hold down the back of the print with the non-stick paper and pull the remaining backing paper off as smoothly as you can. Prints can be re-positioned on the mat board as long as you are careful not to apply any pressure on the print after it is set on the mat board. The problem is that this is very difficult to manage with a large print (like 16x20). My trick is to peel the paper and then lay the non-stick paper over the now-sticky back of the print. Then turn the print AND non-stick paper over together and put the now-face-up print on the mat board with the non-stick paper under it. I just leave one end of the print stick out from the non-stick paper. Now position the print precisely and press down the exposed end of the print and then hold it in place and you can pull the non-stick paper out. Wear cotton gloves.
