LensCoat LegCoat Reviews
Great tripod leg covers
Great leg covers. Only issue I had was it was very difficult to get the cover off the adhesive strip. A tab would be quite helpful. Otherwise, it does what it says and I am quite happy with it.
Works For Me
Bought these for a trip Yellowstone in the snow and wanted the comfort and warmth that LensCoat leg protectors would give me.. I am not disappointed.
Should have bought these a long time ago
Very comfortable to put tripod over the shoulder now with these protectors on.
Simple Protection
Just found it a little over-priced for what it does, as it's just essentially some foam padding. But it does what it's supposed to. Simple to attach and offers good protection.
Great performers
I use them on a Manfrotto 055MF4 and these leg protectors work fine; the process to place on site is really easy. When sticked on the legs they don't move at all and is possible to remove the covers easly in case you want to wash them. They protect better than Manfrotto's orginal warmers.
Protection for tripod and tripod user
Carrying my tripod has become much easier and more comfortable because of the tripod legs that cover the metal of the tripod. The legs are not as prone to scratching as well, thus insuring the quality of the tripod.
Bulky, overpriced pipe insulation
I purchased these for a Gitzo G1228 tripod to protect the carbon fiber from scratches. This is one of those purchases that I wish I would have seen in person first. The package comes with 3 pieces of foam pipe insulation and 3 neoprene touch-fastening fabric (VELCRO) covers. When the 3 covers are installed on the tripod, it becomes quite bulky (defeating the purpose of a small travel tripod). With the 3 covers installed, I can no longer fold the tripod up to it's smallest size because the padding starts to touch the padding on the other legs. I should have watched the product video before hand because the photos are misleading. In the photo of the tripod you do not see the large velcro flaps. And because the photos don't show the tripod folded, you don't realize that you're going to be sacrificing in that department as well. Overall, if you need these for cold weather, get them. If you just want something that offers protection and comfort, without sacrificing fold up size look somewhere else.
Good Fit and a quality product - provides great protection
Use the product on a Manfrotto 055. It fits perfect and was easy to install. Gives one good grip when carrying to site. Protects from scratches / bumps when in transit. Each leg guard has a included adhesive that attaches the foam to the leg so it will not shift. Cover is quality material perfect fit. I would definitely purchase to protect your investment in your tripod. Product works and is what LegCoat tripod Leg Protectors says it is. Good Job! and thanks.
