question

will this work on the Infinity 102?
Asked by: Anonymous
So this scope is really dedicated to the ETX Series. It wouldn't mount on directly. You would have to find an adapter to mount the model on. I called Meade to see if we they had any recommendations, but they do not supply and adapter. My apologies.

question

Hello, will this finder fit my Meade ETX 125c telescope ?
Asked by: Anonymous
I believe this finder scope and mounting bracket is too large for your scope. I bought mine as a replacement for my Meade 10 SCT. Great finder/ bracket combo and I am very satisfied with mine.

question

Will this work on the Infinity 102?

This finder and the mounting bracket it comes with are meant to attach to Meade SCTs and their other larger telescopes. I don't know much about the Infinity 102, but from the pictures I found online it looks like it has a molded-in dovetail mount for the finder, and I doubt that the bracket for this finder is compatible with it. You would have to call Meade's customer support number to find out for sure, but I'm guessing it will not fit. However, there's a good chance that the 102 has the standard size dovetail that you find on most Chinese-made telescopes, and if it does, you can get a similar finder from other sources (like Orion Telescopes), with the right size dovetail bracket. Again, you'd have to call them to find out for sure. IMO, though, I think this is too large of a finder scope for a small refractor like that - you might be better off sticking with the finder that it comes with and getting some low-power eyepieces instead.
