Leupold keeps their successful tradition of delivering state-of-the-art sport optics alive with their persistent attention to detail, precision and quality. This American optics company, located in Portland, Oregon, pioneered the process of nitrogen purging to waterproof riflescopes in 1947. Since then and to this day, Leupold continues to develop new technologies, and use advanced materials, to push the envelope to produce some of the world's finest sport optics.
Merging the finest qualities of the venerable VX-L riflescopes with the latest innovations of their VX-7 series of scopes, Leupold offers the 3.5-14x56 Long Range VX-7L. This scope sports the obvious and efficient VX-L style objective that's designed for optimum light transmission with a low-profile mount. The main-tube is a stout 34mm for enhanced durability and maximum precision adjustment capability. Whether you're putting the crosshairs on a tiny critter across the wide-open plain, or stalking a trophy bull elk through a tangled mess of dead fall and thick timber, this scope delivers all the flexibility and functionality you could hope for - and then some.
To use a riflescope with your firearm, you'll need a mounting base and mounting rings in addition to the scope itself. Bases attach to your firearm and rings attach to your scope. Proper spacing of the rings, as well as the ring height should be considered to ensure a proper line of sight can be established. This will maximize the value of your investment, and enhance your shooting experience. It should be noted that in many mounting applications, a professional gunsmith's skills will be needed for proper installation.
