Tripod Mount Ring A II for 70-200mm f/4L is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A necessary accessory Excellent design and solid, precision, construction. There may be cheaper substitutes out there, but do you want to trust an expensive lens to a cheap knock-off product? I don't. Canon (and B&H) need to update their cross-references to show this perfectly fits several lenses, including the 200/f2.8L. With a Wimberly plate and Quick coupler, I can now use this lens with my Bushhawk, as well as perfectly balanced on a tripod with extension tubes or TE.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not cheap but worth it. Well made tripod collar. I'm using it on the Canon 200mm F/2.8 MK2 lens. Very easy to adjust... keeps the lens attached well to the monopod. It's not cheap but it is worth the money IMO. The construction is solid as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Feel Secure For years I have used a third party mount ring for my Canon lens. I could not see paying the high price Canon charged when I could get something just as good for much, much less. A recent incident where a camera strap unraveled and almost cost me a camera had me looking at my gear and I went and purchased the Canon mount. Comparing it to the off-brand (I don't really know who made it because there is no information on the mount) there is a big weight difference. You can feel the heft of the Canon mount against the lightness of the plastic third-party mount. When you are paying over a thousand dollars for a lens it doesn't make sense to trust the lens, and your camera to a lightly made, plastic mount. Anyone wants an off-brand mount to use, contact me and you can have it for postage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tripod Mount Ring This is a solidly built mounting ring that I use for the 70-200 f/4 IS lens. Yes, it isn't cheap, but then again, neither is the lens that it's on. If you've already invested that kind of money in the lens, then this is worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Valuable accessory for Canon 200mm 2.8 I purchased this accessory ring for use with a Canon 200mm 2.8 telephoto lens and am very pleased with it. Although this is not a very long lens, the addition of a tripod mounting greatly improves the lens' handling when attached to a tripod or monopod. This also gives you the option of removing he ring when it is not needed or you are hand holding the lens. In my opinion, this is a must have accessory for this lens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very solid tripod mount I bought this tripod ring for my ef 70-200mm F/4 L lens. It is very handy to have, I find that the tripod ring gives better stability when hand holding shots. It is also very handy to put the tripod ring against an object or lean it against some kind of support to get more stable shots. I dont have anything negative to say about this tripod ring except for maybe the high price but am still happy I bought it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great ring! Very good tripod mount ring that I use on my Canon70-200mm f4. Very tight and secure fit. Easy to put on and take off. Works well with my lightweight tripod. I could have got a for Canon ring instead of the Canon for a much cheaper price, but for an expensive lens I wanted something I knew would be secure. The reviews I read of the for Canon rings reported a slightly sloppy fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great ! I am using this mounting ring for the Canon 200mmL f/2.8 lens. It fits like a glove and works great for me. I like being able to rotate the lens and camera to shoot vertical images when I'm using a tripod. It works for me...
