Celestron AstroMaster 76 overview

  • 1Description

Ideal for near and deep-sky observation, Celestron's AstroMaster 76EQ 76mm f/9.2 Reflector Telescope features a moderate focal length and a respectable-sized parabolic mirror that produce detailed images of the moon and clear views of the planets. The scope is outfitted with a 1.25 rack-and-pinion focuser and two eyepieces to get new users started, and an un-magnified red-dot finder to help set-up, align and navigate easier.

The included manual equatorial mount features slow-motion control cables make it easy to track objects even when wearing gloves, while also minimizing vibrations caused by handling the mount with your hands; and clearly visible indicators on the Right Ascension and Declination axes. An adjustable-height aluminum tripod rounds out the rig with a tray for accessories such as eyepieces, filters, and lights.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not for amatures This may be the amazing telescope that the reviews said it is but we purchased it to watch boats on the river and found it way to hard to set up and operate for that use.
