Canon PGI-9 reviews

LUCIA PGI-9 Gray Ink Tank is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 35.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT Ink! This is used in my Canon9500 Mk II printer and I have to say, the LUCIA inks are superb! Flawless reproductions and I've never had one clog or be off color. I have had several photos on various shows and have taken several categories and received excellent comments about the vividness of the images. Thank you Lucia! The only drawback is the volume of the inks could be greater. The cartridges are not big and don't have a lot of volume, so if you are printing B&Ws a lot, you must have backups of the BLK and GRY colors. My next printer will be 24 or larger using the same Lucia inks - they really ARE great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gray makes it happen The gray goes the quickest since it is critical to getting the range and accuracy of shading on the 9500 photo printer. Normally a double size tank in black is used on may printers, the only negative is that the gray should be double or triple in size Have gottent great results, but have had to replace the gray three times, still using the same tanks on the other colors. I did a lot with sunset and dusk, but when I went to brighter images seemed to consume at about the same rate. again solid images, but burn a lot of gray ink, should get several to keep on hand so you dont run out at the wrong time.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from does a great job keep lots of stock - Of all the cartridges I've ever purchased for any printer over many years, I've never had one that requires replacing so much. I've owned the printer for less than three weeks and have printed @300-400 4x6 COLOR PRINTS and have purchased so far 5 gray cartridges which is less of an issue on the budget as its been on time running back and forth to buy more inks; obviously this is a function of the printer, so on the side of what it produces, I will say that the few black and whites I've printed are stunning, so the addition of grays into the inkjet printing process does seem to make a great difference and I am overall happy with its performance in the PixmaPro5500MarkII, but wish that they would do some kind of a bundle price on the gray ink, maybe packs of a dozen for a slight discount or something.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great B&W at a price I print a lot of B&W with my 9500 Pro, thanks to this gray cartridge the results are simply stunning. I work with a calibrated monitor and the prints are exactly as what I see on the screen. No color casts, B&W as good as it gets. I'm only giving it 4 stars because the yield is quite low. At the most 15-20 letter size prints and you need to replace it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First cartridge that ran out. Seems like it took a while for the cartridge fixture to move to the service location. My suggestion leave go get some coffee, leave it alone for about 5 minutes. Once it was in the service position it was easy. Just followed the instructions and it went right in. Every print has been fantastic. Have not had one yet, that was messed up for any reason!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Quality OEM Inks I have the Canon PRO9500 Mark II Photo Printer, and OEM ink makes a big difference in the quliaity of the photo. The colors are fantastic. I printed about 100 large photos in the last month, and I really went through some ink; especially the Gray.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from These are excellent inks and produce beautiful results Only issue is that without constant use, they clog the print heads. Canon does not recommend cleaning the print heads. However, some people have done so using plain water, some using a Windex type of glass cleaner with good results.
