Canon 0850V059 reviews

Fine Art Natural White Paper (Matte, 230 gsm) - 8.5x11" - 50 Sheets is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from It ain't THAT heavy.... Canon's write up calls it a heavy weight paper stock, but it isn't all that heavy. It ain't TYPING paper or anything, but when I take a print off the tray and admire it, the first thing that comes to mind is NOT the fact that my customers are going to be impressed by the weight of their expensive print. but it is not false advertising, the weight is printed right on the box, but get it in your mind what GSM weight you are thinking of when you think of HEAVY paper. 230 is NOT that to me. But the PAPER, its good. Matte paper isn't that hard to do well. Anything Canon puts its name on is decent paper.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good for some apps When it comes to fine matte photo printing this is not the paper to use, but it does work well for some applications. It has a very slightly rough texture, not hard and smooth. It works quite well for scanned art illustrations, which I use for greeting cards. The 230 gsm weight for greeting cards is very good. Not a high quality matte paper for photo printing. Moab Lasal Matte double-sided 235 and Hahnumuhle Natural Art Duo in 256 have harder smoother surfaces for fine photo printing and finer 5x7 greeting cards, although they cost more. Even the Inkpress Duo Matte 80 has a better surface finish and will print photos better than this one, but it's just 215 gsm weight (okay for small prints and 4.5 x 6.25 greeting cards). Bottom line: This paper saves money when you don't absolutely need those finer surface finishes, and in a few instances, it seems to be just the right paper. Works very well on both my Epson Artisan 50 and my Epson Pro 3880. Bargain price is one its best attributes!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Print output is a little soft. I used this to print some photos that I wanted to frame. I am using a Canon Pro-100 printer to print the images from Photoshop using the printer settings to control colour. I found that the print output tends to have softer edges, even though the photo are well in focus. If that's the look yo are going for then this is the paper for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy this product again. I use this for greeting cards - 2 4.25 x 5.5 cards per sheet. It's perfect for these. The surface is great and print quality is excellent.
