0HD-20TC-SH6 2.0x Telephoto Converter Lens for Sony HVR-V1U and HDR FX7 is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Three pounds of great glass I have used this lens a LOT for shooting birds with my HDR-FX7 camcorder. It works great - really great in fact - but it's a huge load to carry, by my standards, on long hikes. As a cheap, lightweight alternative, I employ a Raynox DCR-2025PRO 2.2x add-on lens. It's in a different league than the Century, but focus is sharp in the center where I want it, it weighs 21% as much, and it costs 15% as much. I use either lens, depending on how strong I'm feeling on a particular day. : ) I have personally tested SIX tele-extender lenses for the FX7 (the Century, plus 5 cheapies), and only these two were acceptable from a sharpness standpoint. I use them both.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but not perfect Got it for Sony FX-7 for wildlife filming. It seems to be heavier than the camcorder. It needs additional rods to hold safely with the FX-7. The result is great, it makes the job. I can notice some soft vignetting (not black, but unsharp) on the edges when filming a 300 m far bird.
