Great Lens

I use the lense on my Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II with a four thirds to micro four thirds adapter. Everything works great and the picture quality is great. Images at the full focal length are soft but if you step down the lens a stop or two the pictures sharpen up nicely! I do a lot of wildlife photography and this lens is perfect!

I purchased this lens when I first switched to digital in 2004 (E-1), and have had experience with some of the best optics known, including Leitz and Nikon. I cannot compare it to Zeiss or Schneider, but for me the results of this light weight, sharp and versatile glass is amazing. I have had a number of ZD lenses, including the 300 super high grade. For me, this is among the best, brightest and very affordable optics available.

This lens is lightweight, stores easily in my camera bag. Great when I need to zoom in and absolutely perfect for capturing landscapes. I no longer have to say 'bunch in closer', for group shots. I've been longing to capture a scene in the city depicting love and peace, and at last I can! The city graffiti is about three store fronts wide. I don't have to stand at an angle or blend two or more shots together. Thanks family, it's worth every dollar without a doubt!

Heavy yes, but oh my I love the images from this lens. Rather than move to micro four thirds PRO lenses (which I'll have to do now four thirds is gone) this telephoto will keep my hanging on to my E5 until no longer available or operable. Super sharp and smooth.

Olumpus is out of production on this lens. B&H came thru on this product. I used it and took a lot of experimental shots under various conditions of light and day including a cloudy day in Chicago. The lens produces wonderful images. I was amzingly shocked to find excellent pcitures. I am glad I bought this lens.

I prefer this lens over mFT 12-40 F2.8 on Olympus E-M1 body

I love my mFT 12-40mm F2.8 on my E-M1 and E-M5. However, I prefer this 14-35mm F2.0 over 12-40 F2.8 for portraits, I was amazed at razor sharp emagine even shooting wide open at F2.0 at night. The 14-35 focal range is ideal for portraits - I do not miss 12mm on 12-40mm F2.8, as 12mm is too wide for portraits. If I need wider than 14mm, I use my 7-14mm instead.

absolutely superb performance.

Image Quality is amazing. It's a specialty lens for wildlife, sports and the like. I am not a typical Telezoom shooter, but this lens is so wonderful!!

Will this lens fit an olympus OM-D EM10 mark ii?

Will this lens fit an olympus OM-D EM10 mark ii?
Asked by: Stoufa
Not directly, no. The Olympus Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm f/4-5.6 Lens is designed for the larger Four Thirds lens mount used on Olympus' larger DSLR cameras. The Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II Mirrorless Micro Four Thirds Digital Camera is a mirrorless camera that uses the smaller Micro Four Thirds lens mount. If you own this lens (which has been discontinued and is no longer avaialble for purchase new) and you wish to connect it to the Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II Mirrorless Micro Four Thirds Digital Camera, you may purchase the Olympus MMF-3 Four Thirds Lens to Micro Four Thirds Lens Mount Adapter, B&H # OLMMF3, or the Vello Auto Lens Adapter - Four Thirds Lens to Micro Four Thirds Camera, B&H # VELAEMFTFT, for your usage needs. If you are looking to purchase a new lens, the Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm f/4-5.6 R Lens (Black), B&H # OL401504B, would be a similar alternative option that would not require a lens adapter to connect to your camera.

Will this lens work on the Blackmagic Pocket 4k?

Will this lens work on the Blackmagic Pocket 4k?
Asked by: Rachel Marie
The Olympus 12-60mm f/2.8-4 ED SWD Zuiko Zoom Lens for Olympus Digital Cameras, B&H # OL126028L, was designed for the larger (original) Four Thirds lens mount. It will not natively fit the Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 4K. If you wish to mount the lens on the Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 4K, you would need to purchase a lens adapter, such as the Olympus MMF-3 Four Thirds Lens to Micro Four Thirds Lens Mount Adapter, B&H # OLMMF3, or the Vello Auto Lens Adapter - Four Thirds Lens to Micro Four Thirds Camera, B&H # VELAEMFTFT.

question

I have a lenses adapter on an Alpha a6000 that requires me to use this lense manually (which is fine). However I can not seem to focus using the focus ring. The ring rotates yet nothing happens. It this a defect in my particular lens, or can you only focus when shoot in auto?
Asked by: Ezell J.
Depending upon which lens you own, it is likely an electronic-focus lens even when focusing manually with the focus ring. If this is the case, the lens still needs electricity to move the motor and glass elements in order to focus the lens. It will therefore not be compatible with your manual-only adapter.

Hi, will this lens work for the Olympus E-PL1 model?

This is not micro four thirds, but four thirds, which is a different mount. You can use it with an adapter.

question

Hello, there. I'm upgrading from kit lens. Is this compatible with Olympus E-PL2? Thanks in advance!
Asked by: Anonymous
This is not a micro 4/3 lens. You would need an adapter. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/979174-REG/vello_lae_mft_ft_auto_lens_adapter.html
