Rated 5 out of 5 by from I dropped mine! I am a professional wedding and portrait photographer. I have had my case for a little over a year. Unloading the other day and lost my grip on the case with my Canon 5D Mark III, Canon 50D, Canon 10d, 2 70-200L IS 2.8 lenses, Canon 24-105mm F4 L 2 Canon 580EX II's,Lightmeter, Batteries, cards etc. It fell down end over end down a flight of concrete steps, bouncing in the air like a gymnast. Slammed against a concrete wall with a loud crash.... I though I was done. I took the case in the house, it was a little scratched up. I opened it and everything looked like it did when I packed it. I turned everything on and attached lenses, flashes, etc. PERFECT!!! You got to get chu one of these!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Case! I needed something that could hold all of my cameras and lenses and related equipment so I wouldn't have to choose which pieces to leave behind. This case fit the bill perfectly! My Canon 6D, T1i, five lenses, flash, chargers, filters, Rode mic, SD cards, extra batteries and more all fit into this case with room for two or three more lenses. The pick & pluck foam inserts were easy to design just the right space for each piece of equipment. The case itself is extremely well built (as you would expect from Pelican) and should last me a long time. I look at several other pelican-type cases but the costs were about the same (even higher for some!) so there was no reason not to go with the industry leader. Buy a genuine Pelican, you won't be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Safely transports Profoto D1 Airs How I used the 1610 case: - Protects/stores/transports my 2 Profoto D1 Air heads, Profoto Air Remote, Paul C. Buff Mini Vagabond (with component separated from the battery), and the power cables for the strobe heads. - Doubles as a seat, doubles as a makeshift table. Things that are great about the 1610: - Wheels: thank God the Flintstones came up with wheels because they still rock up to this day! - Crushproof construction: if a Smart car hit this case with your belongings in it, I'm sure the Smart car would look stupid. - Foam padding: easy to adjust. Do what I did and use tooth picks to mark your planned cutout areas! Things that aren't so great about it: - I barely just heard about this case. WHAT IS LIFE!?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good case Very happy with this case, it is heavy, but rolls well, looks great, and I feel confident my gear is super protected. Next will be getting one size smaller for better portability I found I have extra room with this one. I have 5 lenses, 3 camera DSLR bodies, and a battery grip. Could hold at least 2 more lenses and another body, and another battery grip I suspect. All the best in finding the right bag for you!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for my camera gear! I have used many Pelican cases over the years and this one is no exception to the rule... these cases are the best. I have this one in use as video camera kit. It contains my Canon XH A1s, batteries, chargers, video and audio cables, cleaning supplies, and the manual. The foam is great at maintaining it's shape even after pulling out large pieces. My only complaint is that the bottom of the case is not completely lined because of the wheels and recessed features. So, removing certain pieces of foam leaves you with a void where smaller items can get lost. Just plan ahead in your plucking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bomber case with lots of room Got this for my new Sony EX1 on the B&H sales rep's recommendation. I was a bit taken aback by its size but soon learned that it's just big enough and not one cubic inch too big. It has five layers of foam, two outside for side protection and three thick layers of diced foam (I hope whoever invented that made a fortune). With a little ingenuity and three dimensional thinking I've packed the camera and all kinds of necessities from filters to cables to sxs cards, to a portable hard drive to power supply and charger, LCD field monitor/prompter, warm cards and even headphones. Couldn't get the espresso machine to fit, but what are you going to do. With a little rubber cement I was able to reglue some of the diced pieces back in that i had cut down for a hole only half a thickness in depth. Granted I have to take the three diced layers of foam out in order to find everything, but a small price to pay for getting full use of the space. The case is built like a truck. Fully water tight and sure enough the little expansion valve is there so it doesn't blow up in the luggage compartment of the airplane because it can't compensate for the lower air pressure. Price was reasonable, quality appears excellent. And with the rollers and pull handle, I don't even have to carry it. I'm very happy with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Celestron CGEM mount I saw a photo of the Celestron CGEM telescope mount placed inside a 1610 (found on @) so I knew it would fit. I found that the 8 inch OTA (telescope optics) was a tight fit so I ordered the Pelican 1620 for that. The 1620 is identical to the 1610 except it is one layer of foam (6 cm) deeper. The latches aren't overly tight like the ones on my Pelican 1200 which I bought for the 17 pound counterweight that comes with the telescope. Finally I bought a Pelican 1470 to hold all my eyepieces and accessories.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Travelers perfect luggage You can't beat a Pelican case...Period. Solid protection for what you need protected. Let the baggage handlers beat it up. It can take it and come back for more. I travel 45 weeks a year and it travels with me everywhere around the world week after week year after year. I have used several different high end cases and none of them can match it. I pack about 60lbs of gear in mine without any problems. Being able to wheel it around with the built in extendable handle and solid wheels makes it easy. I have no regrets and when it comes time to get another case, it will be a Pelican.
