Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product on a Budget Do you need a boom pole that's affordable? BAM!!Do you need a boom pole that's light weight? BAM!Do you need a boom pole that's long? BAM BAM!!!Do you need a boom pole that fits all of your needs? BAM BAM BAM!!!!This boom pole is worth every dollar. Despite the arguements against Aluminum poles, it's very light weight, very durable, doesn't create noise and to get the coiled cable, length, and quality for the price is well worth it!I could have spent hundreds more on a pole, but the difference would be so minimal, it just wouldn't be worth it. I used my savings to buy more audio equipment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lightweight good pole so far. Works great, good feel, lightweight. The only con is that the coil inside the pole generates a bit of a spring tension inside that makes extending it just slightly annoying. You need both hands on this thing when you extend it or it tends to spring back. It still beats taping cable onto the pole.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Boom This boom is built with quality locking nuts and has enough reach for just about any project I can think of. It didn't get five stars from me because of its tenancy to spring closed after being fully extended due to the coiled cord inside. On the plus side its sturdy, light, the cord dosn't rattle inside. It's perfect in every way except the spring-back tenancy. This was a great buy!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice, but requires a shockmount Telescopes nicely, very clean design and smooth operation. However the internal mic cable makes noise that can be easily picked up by a mic mounted with just a clip, vs. a shock mounted suspension. Not a fault of the pole, just a requirement for whatever mic you may be using if you plan on moving the boom at all during recording (which is of course why you are using a boom).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New Stick As a soundie who works in a variety of environments and shows having a more robust boom pole is an absolute must. This item fits the bill, I dont mind the weight difference between an aluminium boom pole vs Carbon Fibre. The internal cable has not made any noise when I didn't want it too and the spring action when new went after a few days use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value I really like the internal cable, but it's a two edged sword. Some of its convenience is offset a bit by the fact the coiled cable bouncing around inside the sections can be noisy. During an actual scene, the chances of a quick move of the boompole are slim, but one still has to be cautious or the cable will heard bouncing off of a the section's interiors. My basement-inventor buddy says he can insert some sort of filler inside of each section to preclude any chance of noise. Still, for the money, this product remains an excellent value.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great for the money This is a quiet, Lightweight pole that has almost no handling noise. It does however have a locking system that is outshone by even the cheapest of other boom poles. That having been said, the cost and build outweigh this minor problem that is easy to work around once you get used to it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid piece of equipment! Great boom pole, my only complaint is that it is a little heavy and if you aren't careful there is some noise from the internal chord bumping around.
