    VCT-14 Quick-Release Tripod Adapter is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 26.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavy, but solid At 2 lbs, you definitely feel this, but it's going on a tripod usually, so just be sure to count the extra weight. This is very solid in build, definitely no flimsy materials in this. When placing/removing the camera, there is a solid click so you know it is in place, and it fits very snug. Removal is easy with a flick of the switch. I put this on a Sachtler FSB 10 MCF 100 tripod with a Sony FS7 and Zacuto universal VCT baseplate. Being able to quickly remove the camera and shoulder mount it is nice. This unit, although heavy duty and solid, seems overpriced to me, but I guess it's a niche market. Anyway, definitely recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Plate! Very strong, holds up very very well. Using it with my Ursa Mini with the Ursa shoulder mount, works very well. Nice solid lock in click. The top scratches easily but it's whatever. Can't blame it, metal on metal does that.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It is what it is I got the official Sony version of this after returning the knockoff model (can't recall brand). Ht knockoffs didn't have a distinctive click so I always felt unsure about the camera mounting. The Sony one has a more solid click so it's better in that regard. It's absurdly expensive for what it is, but that's just how pro camera gear works. At least it's built like a tank.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am sooo happy with this adapter! I use this with my Fs7 and Sachtler 0775 FSB-8. The Sony Fs7, with my rig, is actually kind of heavy, so it is awesome to be able to pull it on and off the tripod, hear that metallic CLICK and know that it is in good hands. Brilliant!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Snug secure fit Works great with our Sony EA 50 and Sony FS7 - both mounted on SHAPE rigs. Makes it nice and quick to go from sticks to shoulder. Wish there was a bit more room for padding and more padding - but that is more on the SHAPE rig than this adapter plate. I didn't see much difference between this one and the Panasonic version though and the Panasonic is much pricier. However I don't shoot on Panasonic so worked in my favor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well Made - Does the Job I needed to buy this for my Blackmagic Shoulder Mount Kit. It is definitely heavy but seems to be well made. No problems as of yet with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid VCT for Ursa Mini Pro Rock solid, albeit heavy, support for the Blackmagic Ursa Mini Pro with the BMD shoulder mount kit.
