Terrible product. No instructions. Wobbles when installed. Worthless. Previous reviewer is spot on. It mates up poorly, the design is awful. Really. It’s astonishingly bad.
A rare miss as I've been very happy with everything Manfrotto. Bought 2 of these to mount to the Manfrotto Super Salon (also poor craftsmanship) for top down shots and it sags about 2'' at full extension with a 6D + grip w/ 24-70 on it. Poor design - Why have hand tightening knob AND a geared bottom section? The knob stops horizontal movement. I would understand if they included 2 flush set screws. Poor design #2 - Expansion fit into support arm with poor machining tolerances makes it wobble. Not very difficult to make an extension. The one on our Foba stand is rock solid (Yes it is 2x the price). Why they decided to go with am expansion duckbill is beyond me. The perfect solution would be a machined insert + geared tube that slides over like a sleeve, with countersunk set screws.One continuous geared track, no flex from duckbill mount.
