    Sightmark SM39001 reviews

    Laser Boresight ( .223 Remington ) is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 19.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from SIGHTMARK MODEL 223 LASER BORE SIGHT The Sightmark Model 223 Laser Bore Sight is a super product at a remarkable low price at B&H. This Laser will get you on paper at 100 yards! Compared to all the other types (and I have them all) this works the best. It shines on rifles that have the sight well above the bore which eliminates most other boresights because they don't line up. The type that plug into the front of the bore are subject to move and therefore change the point of aim. There is no switch to mess with; put in the batteries, chamber and adjust the sight...couldn't be easier!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Made in China I made the mistake of buy a low cost bore sight. This Made in China product lives up to it's manufacturers name. The unit has no on off switch, the batteries went dead within one minute, and I had to push the laser out of the barrel with a pencil because the housing tolerances weren't accurate. You get what you pay for. Spend the extra money and buy the one from .... It has an auto on when chambered which will save battery life and headaches.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from not overly bright While this bore sight works roughly as expected, I've found that it's not very bright at all. It works fine indoors for distances up to about 15 yds but for anything farther out, you need to wait until nighttime. Even then, at 25 yds it's very hard to see the dot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best single calibre bore sight. The Sightmark is a single caliber laser device. It's well made and easy to use. There are no switches. It takes two AG5/393 batteries (included). The device is activated by un-screwing the rear-ward cap, inserting the batteries and replacing the cap. The laser is very bright but needs dull day to be seen during daylight hours. The laser beam is about 1 diameter at 25 meters. I give it 4 stars because the batteries are difficult to find and can be expensive. 393 batteries range in price from $1.50 to $5. Battery life is proported to be around 1 hour.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Round saver A great way to say ammo for real shooting, the way its described is misleading. To turn the laser on and off is inserting or removing the batterys. I would recommend having a cleaning rod handy to knock the laser out of the chamber. However this is a great product to get your optic zeroed in without wasting rounds, remember to adjust for bullet drop when zeroing your optic though.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Worked great until I crushed it.... The thing worked great, but was fragile...the second time I used it in my AR it stuck in the when I closed the bolt and the rear end crushed and I had to trash it. Could be some pilot error involved here, but it's made of very thin aluminum be gentle...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Boresight works as advertised Easy to use and is a fast, efficient way to dry sight a rifle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing This thing is great. Made zeroing my rifle so much easier than a pick and shoot since there is very little flat ground around my area. I also used it while I was in the military and it made a huge difference in both the quality of my zero and maintaining that zero as well as reduced the time and rounds needed to zero. It is also a good way to teach my wife barrell awareness.
