Hasselblad USA, Inc. Enhanced and Enhanced/Extended Warranty
To the Purchaser, as identified on the front of this warranty certificate, Hasselblad USA Inc. warrants that the Hasselblad or Imacon Make, Model and Serial Number specified on this certificate conforms to the manufacturer's specifications and will be free from defects in workmanship and materials for a period commencing at the date of purchase specified on this certificate and expiring on the expiration date on this certificate (warranty period).
This warranty is applicable only if the Product has been purchased and primarily used in the Americas. Warranty claims on goods sold by Hasselblad USA, Inc. can only be resolved by Hasselblad USA, Inc. or by its authorized repair facilities. This warranty is to the original user only, and is non-transferable.
During the warranty period, Hasselblad USA will repair free of charge any Product which is defective because of poor workmanship on the part of Hasselblad provided that Hasselblad is notified of such defect within the warranty period, and that the defect shows to be due to poor workmanship on the part of Hasselblad or materials used by Hasselblad.
Should the Hasselblad Product prove defective in workmanship or materials while covered under Hasselblad's Enhanced Warranty, Hasselblad will, at its option, provide either a loaner or replacement Product. If Hasselblad chooses to provide a replacement unit, Hasselblad may provide a refurbished unit in "as new" or similar condition to the unit being replaced. Under normal circumstances, the loaner or replacement unit will be delivered to the customer within 48 hours (2 business days, excluding weekends and holidays) of determining that the original unit is defective.
Hasselblad additionally will arrange for the return of the defective original Product. Freight charges associated with the delivery of the defective product to Hasselblad's service facility will be paid by Hasselblad. Loaners and or replacements will be sent at Hasselblad's expense. If the repaired unit is returned to the user, Hasselblad will return the repaired product to the user at Hasselblad's expense. Hasselblad may request a credit card to be billed in the event the defective equipment is not returned.
For Enhanced/Extended Warranty, the above applies, but for a period beyond the initial year of factory warranty.
Hasselblad is not responsible for warranty service should the Product's serial number be removed or should the Product fail to function properly as a result of misuse, abuse or by any accident. Hasselblad shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or inconvenience resulting from the use or inability to use the Hasselblad Product.
This warranty is in lieu of and Hasselblad disclaims all other warranties, express or implied or statutory, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
