Speedotron MW20QVC Overview

Most current, professional flash heads and monolights are equipped with user replaceable flashtubes that may simply be plugged into, and unplugged from their sockets. With proper handling, these flashtubes may last for tens of thousands of flashes under normal use.

This flashtube is UV-Coated, or UV-Corrected. UV flashtubes have a yellow appearance, and they counteract the excess blue 5700° or higher output of non-UV coated flashtubes. UV Coating lowers the color temperature to 5500°, which is the color of noon daylight on a clear day.

I have Speedotron since 1994 and still works perfectly. This was an accident, but the flashes works perfectly... even after it fell.

Simple part for a simple strobe

I've broken, bought and repaired these strobe heads many times. They're relatively inexpensive and should you crack one, you can save the flash tube by replacing the pyrex with clear silicone caulk, that if you're more than careful.

If you've ever had a loose dog in your studio knock over one of your stands with a Speedo 202VF head on it, and the flash tube gets shattered, just after the impact with the concrete floor....well, the Speedo head looses light output quickly....so, these here MW20QC tubes bring your 202VF heads back to full output, right off the bat. If you have dogs, kids, parties, dances, high winds, or clumsy assistants in your studio, it's a darn good idea to keep these tubes as spares, too. And they make a nifty gift, for any Speedo-loving Photographer...you can't miss!

it lists as 3200 w/s but the pack I use is only 2400 w will this work on a 2405CX?
