  • 1Description

The Canon PowerShot A650 Digital Camera provides an astounding 12.1 megapixel resolution, and is packed with a full range of high-performance features usually found only on more expensive cameras. The result is a compact camera that produces truly incredible photographs. The high resolution is complemented by a powerful 6x optical zoom with Optical Image Stabilizer Technology that delivers clear, blur-free images in low light and all through the zoom range, and you'll see it all clearly on the big, bright 2.5-inch Vari-Angle LCD monitor.

Furthermore, the Canon DIGIC III image processor provides advanced Face Detection AF/AE - a unique Canon technology that automatically detects faces in people shots and optimizes focus and exposure accordingly. Other key advancements include ISO 1600 sensitivity and Red-eye Correction for sharp, superior quality images. Finally, the 21 shooting modes make photography easy, fun and creative, and are joined by great functionality like expanded ISO settings that let you shoot in low light without blur.

12.1 Megapixel Resolution
The 12.1 Megapixel CCD sensor provides enough resolution for stunning, deeply detailed images and quality poster size prints with room for creative cropping.
6x Optical Zoom Lens with Optical Image Stabilization
The camera's powerful 6x optical zoom utilizes Canon's industry dominance in optic technology to deliver quick response, brilliant clarity and pure, true color. The lens is also equipped with Canon's acclaimed Optical Image Stabilizer Technology that uses gyroscopic sensors to automatically detect and correct camera shake so you'll get the steady, crisp, brilliant images - under just about any shooting conditions.
21 Shooting Modes
With 21 shooting modes, you're ready for whatever shot comes your way. For example, 10 Special Scene modes make many challenging shots like snow, beach and fireworks easy, and even include Color Accent and Color Swap to let you customize and play with color.
High ISO Sensitivity
The camera features a sensitivity of ISO 1600 and a High ISO Auto setting (equivalent to ISO 3200) that further reduce the effects of camera shake for sharp subjects in low-light situations with high shutter speeds, giving you greater flexibility for shooting.
DIGIC III Processor with Face Detection AF/AE
Delivering fast, responsive camera performance and superb image rendering, the DIGIC III processor also drives Canon's landmark Face Detection technology that ensures accurate and bright people shots by automatically detecting faces in a scene and optimizing focus and exposure accordingly. Furthermore, the processor incorporates iSAPS scene-recognition technology using an internal database of thousands of different photos to improve focus speed and accuracy, as well as exposure and white balance.
VGA Movie Recording with Sound
The camera's movie functions include 30fps VGA recording with sound, and can playback onto a PC or a TV via the integrated AV Out connection. You can also shoot full-motion movies at QVGA (320 x240) that are well suited to PC playback, and there is even a 15 fps Compact Movie Mode that's ideal for creating movies you can attach to emails.
Shoot and View Widescreen Images
The PowerShot A650 includes a 16:9 widescreen resolution option, producing images that are perfect for your widescreen TV or computer monitor.
Large 2.5 inch Vari-Angle LCD monitor
The camera's 2.5 inch vari-angle LCD monitor lets you swivel the LCD monitor 180° to the front of the camera and display either a mirror image or a non-reversed image so you can shoot from just about any position. This high-resolution screen offers a crisp, clear picture and wider viewing angle to make shooting, playback and using the camera's menu functions especially convenient. Clear and bright, it also features Night Display for easy viewing in low light.
Convenient AA-size Batteries
AA-size batteries can be purchased at any store so you don't need to worry about running out of batteries or recharging batteries - simply get new ones locally.
Fast USB 2.0 Interface
The PowerShot A650 also supports the USB 2.0 Hi-Speed standard, so you'll enjoy the fastest possible data transfer speeds when using a USB 2.0 Hi-Speed compatible computer.
Easy, Flexible Direct Printing Options
The Print/Share button makes direct printing easier than ever. Simply connect the camera to a Canon Direct Photo Printer or PictBridge supported printer, press the Print/Share button and print. The Direct Print feature allows for image preview and editing (including cropping) on the camera when connected to a compatible printer. Also use the Print/Share button to transfer images directly to a computer (Windows).
