The widest of Nikon's f/2.8 zooms, the AF-S NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8G ED presents a flexible ultra-wide-angle range of focal lengths, well-suited for landscape, nature, and interior photography. Besides its broad angle of view, this lens is characterized by its f/2.8 constant maximum aperture, which affords consistent performance and illumination throughout the zoom range. Similarly impressive, the optical design contains three aspherical elements and two extra-low dispersion elements, which greatly reduce distortion and aberrations for a high degree of sharpness, clarity, and accurate rendering. A Nano Crystal Coat has also been applied to control flare and ghosting for greater contrast and color accuracy in harsh lighting and backlit conditions. Additionally, a Silent Wave Motor enables fast, nearly silent autofocus performance, along with full-time manual focus override, to benefit both stills and video applications.
- F-Mount Lens/FX Format

Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8G ED Reviews
Great match for D6
The lens is around fifteen years old, however it works great with my D6 and D700 cameras. With D6 the focus is fast and accurate. The lens is on a heavy side but it balances well with a large camera. I'll be using the lens mostly indoors and for landscaping. So far very pleased with the purchase.
More Lens Than I'll Ever Need
Due to Nikon discounting DSLR lenses, I finally got this legend lens. I already use the AF-S 16-35mm f/4 and it's very sharp. But as a Nikon photographer since 1970, I've always wanted this ultimate example of Nikkor Lens precision. I'll post more thoughts after a few hundred captures. For now, after about 20 test shots, I'm very happy. Tack sharp, great color saturation and solid construction. Excellent.
Love this lens
Just got this lens two weeks ago, so happy that I decided to bite the bullet and get it. Super clear corner to corner, amazing piece of glass.
Great Deals if you're using DSLR
Always wanted this lens, and now that everyone is going Mirrorless crazy, Nikon recently discounted this legend, so I now own it.
Excellent for indoors and landscapes
I've been using this lens extensively for 7 months indoors with low light and in completely different situations like landscape photography and I'm quite happy with the result. The only problem that bothers is the flares in very lit environments with sun or lamps.
best Nikon lens ever made!
This lens is better than other wide lens in the shape, quality of glass, durability of the rings and many more. Sony has made similar lens, but the build quality doesn't come close to this beast. This lens is a must have lens for professional photographers.
Spectacular Lens, Super Sharp, even in 2022!!!
I bought this lens on July 22nd for my Nikon D800. Despite its high price compared to other lenses, no VR and not friendly to use filters; I would like to say that its quality surpasses all criticism!! Without a doubt, this Nikon 14-24mm 2.8 is an unparalleled lens. If you are looking for quality and sharpness from corner to corner, have no doubt, this is the lens!!!
Perfect match for mirage
This is an awesome lens and is in the kit of most professionals sharp fast low light no problem but then again you wouldn't expect anything less from a prime or one of the holy trinity
