The Gary Fong WhiteDome is the replacement hard plastic inverted dome that originally comes supplied with the Lightsphere Universal, Lightsphere Collapsible, and Lightsphere II Cloud. The inverted dome allows you to softly diffuse direct light with a large, soft source without creating flare on the front of your lens.

Hang onto your DomeI've always disliked the deer-in-the-headlights look of even accessory flashes. The Lightsphere does a decent job of softening the effects from the flash. On a recent shoot at a local event, I had to attach my half cloud Lightsphere to my camera bag (since it wouldn't go inside). The next time I wanted to use it, the dome was gone. This time, I will drill a small hole or 2 in the dome and body and use some wire to attach the dome!

Great additionOverall the pictures look better when using the Lightsphere than just the flash. Skin tones look more natural and with fewer blown highlights.

Keeps falling offI've lost two of these this season. At 10 bucks a pop it's getting a little pricey and inconvenient to keep replacing them. I take part of the blame, but I would think they could design a plastic dome so it attached more securely to the lightsphere. I'm considering discontinuing use of the lightsphere all together based on this inconvenience. I don't think I've ever had any problems with my Stofen diffuser.

Great ProductGary Fong Lightspere is a great add on to any external flash. It eliminate the dark shadows and fill in/soften the light. The only issue I had with mine is the inverted dome will tend to fall off every now and then.

Just what I neededI recently purchased an Inverted Dome- Replacement for Lightsphere and I really enjoyed it. It was very comfortable to use because it made my pictures better quality and the light was amazing. I use it all the time when taking pictures because it guarantees me great quality pictures with great lighting. I loved it and there was nothing that I did not like about it. I recommend it to all my photographer friends.

Replacement for Lost DomeI love the Gary Fong Lightsphere. I've been using them since 2009. The only problem I have is the dome tends to fall off here and there and sometimes I don't notice and it's gone forever. I usually glue them down but I understand they're easily removable for difference lighting techniques. If only there were a couple small release clamps or something to keep this little guy in place when you need it.

Replacement domeI thought that I had lost my dome, but I found it! No worries, good to have a back up. I LOVE the lightsphere system. I've yet to find a situation where it did not work. I use it with the dome, with out, turned both ways (inverted and dome out), bounced off ceiling and pointed directly at subject. It is amazingly versatile, small, portable and does beautiful job both on and off camera.

Fits like an inverted glove.Perfect replacement for the original dome (which I lost several years ago). I was worried about the replacement dome being a different tint or translucency from the body but it is a perfect match. The only con that I could list is that it doesn't snap in really tight to the base (somewhat like the original) so it does have a tendency to pop out.
