This product solved my problem.
I am near-sighted and wear glasses. I have a Canon 7D mark II camera which I use mainly for railroad photography. The built-in diopter adjustment in the camera would not adjust enough for my vision. I had the adjustment wheel turned completely clockwise but it wasn't enough. I still needed more adjustment. When I added the Canon EG (+1) to the viewfinder, it brought the adjustment wheel back to the center of its movement, thereby giving me the ability to fine tune the viewfinder to my own eyesight. I highly recommend this to those who need it.

excellent product
I bought two of these +1 diopters for my two new CANON 5D Mk4s. They enable me to see through the viewfinder without having to wear reading glasses. It fits this camera perfectly! This is an indispensable item that really works well.

Useful
Useful, improves the visual experience, helps when focusing manually. Lock might have been better. I usually carry two with me. Lost once while in a rush getting the camera out of the bag as it rubbed against the bag wall (and lock broke).

Great for us who use reading glasses.
This is a great adjustment for all of us getting older and with presbyopia. My in camera adjuster would go to the end to get a sharp picture. I would normally get an off the shelf lens around 1.75 or 2.00 and would read well. This +1 will do what you need to correct the in camera adjustment and adjuster will be around the center again.

I can see again!
For the past few years, the dioptric adjustment knob on my canon camera has been at the + extreme. At times the info in the viewfinder was not clear. Now can clearly see the information and the dial is in the middle of its range, providing future adjustment. Perfect fit, and no dark edges or problems, worked perfectly

Nice option for Canon 5D
My eyesight put me right at the edge of the normal viewfinder adjustment. With the +1Dioptric I have the convenience of being able to swing the focusing either side of my optimal setting.

+1 Dioptric Adjustment Eyepiece
Canon EOS only have unto +1 diopter adjustment but when you use this one,the center of the adjustment is now +1 and become very easy to fine tune your view.
