The CB Junior Flash Rotating Bracket Kit from Custom Brackets was designed for those that want to use a compact and lightweight flash rotation bracket but still want to retain the ability to operate all camera and flash functions. The bracket allows the camera itself to be gripped, rather than the bracket. The CB Junior features an adjustable, pivoting flash arm that keeps the flash centered over the lens for both horizontal and vertical photography.

This bracket is tripod ready, with 1/4-20" thread, and features a comfortable foam grip, and the swing-out leg adds support for when the bracket is set on a table or floor. Ideal for digital, 35mm and 645 medium format cameras.

Adjustable flash height for eliminating red eye and shadows
Balances camera using a fold out leg
Easy to rotate from horizontal to vertical
Comfortable foam grip

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Glad I bought it I bought this to use for some wedding photos. It really helped with shadow and red-eye control. I was impressed with the construction quality and finish as well as the utility. What I was pleasantly surprised by was that, with my 50d, it's additional weight was more than compensated for by the how much easier it made carrying my camera. I found myself using the padded handle to carry my camera 90% of the time. It was well-balanced and the handle was still out of the way when I needed to take photos. When removed from my camera, the bracket fit perfectly in the top of my camera backpack. The price of the anti-twist brackets is my only con.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I needed I purchased this bracket because I shoot portrait with the shutter on top of the camera and other brackets looked like I wouldn't be able to continue to shoot that way and have enough room to reach the shutter. This bracket doesn't have that problem! The bracket is slightly ahead of the camera which gives you enough room to shoot in my normal position and still have the flash where I need it. It is light and has a thread on the bottom so I can still attach my camera to the bracket and then the bracket to my camera strap. Very happy with this purchase!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not sure yet... Having used on camera flash for a long time, I decided to get one of these to keep the flash above the lens for weddings and event photography. I was not prepared for how unfriendly it is to use. Once the camera and flash are attached, there's not really a quick way to un-attach. This thing really needs at least a quick release mechanism for the flash w/cord. I may get a cold shoe attachment for future events, so that I can use a radio trigger on my camera for lights and SU-4 mode for my speedlight for some on axis fill. Other than that, it seems rock solid, and well built.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not recommended for D3 It's nicely made, but there are a few 'lookouts': - you almost can't use the D3 or D200 w/ grip attached in the vertical shooting position because base gets in the way - handle on right means you're always going to wear out your right arm, instead of sharing the load - the kit comes with a way to attach an SC-28 or SC-29, but it doesn't use a 'captured' screw, so all the parts separate if you want to release the cord and do a few 'strobe-on-a-rope' shots; changeover time is measured in minutes; buy a separate accessory-cold shoe - Anti-twist-plate accessory from kit does not work on D3, ineffective - Very slow camera mount time: find a QR clamp and use the Arca standard plate already on your body, and sacrifice the weight of the clamp for the convenience of going 'off-bracket-strobe' at a moment's notice (let's say while shooting a wedding???) I'm not sure I'd recommend this bracket because of these very functional issues. Paying this amount for what amounts to an outdated or inappropriate design (especially for D3) doesn't seem like the best value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect I'm a right handed right eyed shooter and I have been looking for a flash bracket that 1allows me to hold the camera with my right hand, trigger with my right hand on top right corner and hold the lens with my left hand, 2 raise the flash high enough, 3 perfectly keeps the center in the center line of the lens, 4 keeps the flash in portrait position when shooting portrait if possible, 5 solid and light. I'm very happy with this guy. My flash has a built-in 2.4G receiver, I have to remove one anti-twist piece and put a cold shoe mount on it, and put a transmitter on the camera. I can put it in my large Lowepro Shoulder Bag with my camera body + one short lens + battery grip mounted on it, and put a flash and a PB960 battery pack with a cord in the same bag. Tested yesterday. Light enough, sold, no twist, easy to use and easy to carry. It's just amazing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from CB Junior Flash Rotating Bracket Kit D3 The custom bracket is very well built, sturdy and has the kick stand when setting the camera down. This bracket works extremly well with the Nikon D3 camera contrary to a previous review I read. The twist bracket will work with the Nikon D3. It has to be installed on the back, not the front. I purchased the cord with the infrared...when taking pictures it will be on the subject..this will give you a better photograph. The bracket is also very light, not heavy. The other thing I like is the adjustible bracket to adjust the height of the flash which the others do NOT have.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A MUST FOR ANY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER I picked this unit up to replace my previous aging flash bracket which I had for almost 10 years! This unit is a killer deal for the money and made by a great company (made in the USA!). It's not heavy, bulky, awkward to handle, etc. like a lot of other brands & models. I f you are a working wedding/portrait photographer...the last thing you need is something always in the way! This unit is great for my both my FULL Frame/Bodies & Crop Sensor Cameras with/without battery grips. In simple terms..IT WORKS!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I Like It! My first flash bracket and, with one minor exception, it does just about everything that I had hoped for. I use it on a Nikon D70 with a SB-600 flash attached via a SC-17 cord. Unit is well built. Rotating arm swings freely and is spring loaded so it maintains position. I wish that the screw that fastens the cord's hot shoe to the arm was captured when loosened .... it just comes off completely and is too easy to lose.
