    Bogen Communications HS7EZ reviews

HS7EZ Easy Design Horn Loudspeaker 7.5W is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent quality, not field servicable. I replaced one of these horns for a convenience store. It is loud, and decent quality - Bogen does make good stuff. However, it is not field serviceable, which is why I had buy a whole new replacement. The driver is not compression, it is simply a 3 inch full range speaker (with what looks like a 1/2 voice coil) which is crimped into the center assembly facing toward the rear of the unit to horn load it. The transformer, etc. is mounted behind that speaker. Since the speaker is crimped in there is no way to replace it or the transformer or tap switch in the event anything fails. For a few dollars more, I'd go with an Atlas AP15T or something like that because that horn is at least field-serviceable and voice coils are readily available.
