I would not. You might be able to do so in a large oversized dryer at a laundrymat. I would use a steam wand to release wrinkles.

How well does it block light? Obviously it ...

How well does it block light? Obviously it doesn't block 100% of light coming through, but is it effective enough to use as a window covering on location?

The Impact Muslin Background (Black, 10 x 12') would not be ideal for covering a window to block light. You would be much better using duvetyne like the TRP WORLDWIDE Duvetyne / Commando Cloth (8 x 8'), B&H # TRS8, MFR # S8.

The weight difference is very minimal between the two backdrops, Backdrop Alley is .10 of an ounce, heavier than Impact. Both are nice backdrops.
