    Pictorico PICT35010 Reviews

Premium OHP Transparency Film for Inkjet (13 x 19", Glossy - 20 Sheets) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 21.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for Digital Negatives! I use the OHP Transparency Film to create digital negatives and positives for contact printing of alternative process photography. This product produces a great tonal range and works very well for wet dark room processes. My only complaint is that it is rather pricey given other competitors products. For something like tintype or cyanotype which do not produce a super high level of tonal quality it's probably overkill and you could get by with a more affordable product. For platinum, palladium, and albumin it is fantastic. I also think the pricing is due it its niche market factor which is why I gave this 4 instead of 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Screen Printing Films I print on these with my Epson Workforce 1100 and they turn out GREAT! I just select the Ultra-Premium High Gloss setting on Super-High-Res Photo setting and they come out super dark black. They also dry extremely fast with no need to spray them with fixative. Make sure no moisture gets anywhere near them tho if you don't spray them. Work great for burning screens for printing. Very nice and rigid so you don't even need to use glass between them and your burn light if you have a super-taught and flat screen. Highly recommend them for people using them for these purposes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unlike Any Other I just started using this for printing large negatives on an Epson R2880 and the results are amazing. Once you figure out which way to insert the paper. I am using black and white images that I prepare in Photoshop CS3 using Dan Berkholder's Inkjet Negative Curves for Alternative Process Photography. I am so impressed with the high quality of Pictorico products, I tell people everywhere I go. There is very little in the way of instructions on the package, but the people at the company are happy to talk to you on the phone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good results for contact printing I use this for contact printing cyanotype prints, The Canon dye based inks work with no problem. I've read other reviews which comment on the translucent rather than transparent nature of the film. When you contact print the printed side is in contact with the sensitized surface so (in white light printing) the translucent side acts as a diffuser and has no effect on the sharpness of the print. I expose using UV light, the film has a slight effect on exposure time, this is easily corrected for when by doing a test print.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from always reliable I use this on a Canon Pixma Pro 100 printer to print high quality digital negatives for Cyanotype prints. Since switching from using Epson ink with a new printer, I've noticed this OHP transparency film is cheaper but does just as well. I've heard other cheaper screenprinting brands reccomeneded at an inexpensive price that I'm sure work fine, but never had issues with this minus the price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from quality product i use pictorico to make negatives for contact prints in alternative processes. it is of a good quality. i print in only black and white on it but it gives a nice full tonal range. one con - any touch to the surface of the paper leaves a mark, especially if there's any trace of moisture on your fingers. this can be avoided by being very careful but it is frustrating. overall thumbs up

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I used this product in my Alternative Photography class. Digital negatives make alternative processes like cyanotypes and brown vandykes so much easier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT quality transparency paper I use this paper to print large digital negatives for printmaking. These specific transparencies work much better than others, because of the tonal value that it can and does hold, and it doesn't smear as easy as others do.
