I recently purchased this to attach my camera to a c-stand for overhead product shots. I need something to screw the head into that would fit on the c-stand arm. Does anyone know what I could use?

question

Does the screw on the top of this head fit a point-and-shoot camera? Or does it only fit a (D)SLR?
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes, the screw on the top of this head will fit point and shoot cameras. It uses the industry standard 1/4 -20 thread size which is the size photo cameras use.

Can I adapt this to go on a tripod. The opening threads on bottom of head are much larger than receiving thread on tripod plate. Is there some kind of adapter?
Asked by: Barbara
If I understand right, yes you can do what you with a Oben 3/8"-16 to 1/4"-20 Reducer Bushing. I downsized with this to the standard tripod 1/4-20 on my tripod legs.
