The Manfrotto 323 RC2 System Quick Release Adapter with 200PL-14 Plate adds a compact quick release system to any head that does not include one yet. Its compact 200PL-14 (old part #3157N) quick release plate makes it ideal for use with point and shoot cameras, digital SLR cameras, or spotting scopes.

The 323 adapter allows quick mounting and dismounting of the camera from the tripod head. A 3/8"-16 threaded socket with a 1/4"-20 reducer bushing makes it compatible with any tripod head.

Manfrotto 323 RC1 Overview

The Manfrotto 323 RC2 System Quick Release Adapter with 200PL-14 Plate adds a compact quick release system to any head that does not include one yet. Its compact 200PL-14 (old part #3157N) quick release plate makes it ideal for use with point and shoot cameras, digital SLR cameras, or spotting scopes.

The 323 adapter allows quick mounting and dismounting of the camera from the tripod head. A 3/8"-16 threaded socket with a 1/4"-20 reducer bushing makes it compatible with any tripod head.

Quick release adapter is super handy as I have it on other tripods I own plus the Manfrotto tripod. Being able to switch which camera is on which tripod without have to unscrew and screw the camera on, makes my life simply better.

I simply love these Manfrotto release plates. I've got at least a few of them. Very handy while switching from tripod to gimbal.

I agree with one of the other reviewers. I bought one of these years ago along with a Manfrotto 681 monopod. The radius of the top of the monopod is about 2.50 inches. The Manfrotto 323 RC2 System Quick Release Adapter with 200PL-14 Plate does not work well because the release mechanism lower part of the bolt jams into the plastic monopod top. And although you can force it on, it is very difficult to release the quick release plate. The only way to make it work on this heavy monopod correctly is to grind away some of the round monopod platform do the bolt is not bound. Not going to do that. So I was looking today to see if I could find a new system that would work on this monopod but it looks like nothing has changed with Manfrotto's design. Seems odd that Manfrotto would continue to make an item that does not work on another of their items. If you have more like a 2" radius top of you monopod you should be OK.

The plate works perfect for my bracket, it is great quality due to it being metal and not plastic. The adapter may come in handy one day! I didn't need the quick release adapter, only the plate.

If the Monfrotto 200 is a tripod plate/shoe that fits onto the top of the tripod then It is more the question of will the Monfrotto 323 screw onto the top of the tripod plate. The quick release has 1/4-20 threads so the common ( on all tripods) 1/4-20 screw will fit into the bottom of the quick release.

I'm pretty sure that the 323 has a 3/8-16 threaded hole but you can screw in the 1/4-20 adapter that should come with the 323.
